Lance x Cynthia A Battle
The story continues.

As it turned out the two weren't actual able to battle despite finding a nice field to do so just outside of the area. This was because they were able to meet up with Nicholas and Corrine separately and that took some time since Cynthia had questions to ask the male Trainer about Galar's Legends. Nicholas didn't have as many answers this time as he and Corrine had visited that Region, but no trouble had happened there. At least not yet. So it was five days before Lance and Cynthia would be able to fight. However before that, the two had been able to talk and spend quiet a bit of time together. And this made them find they actually had quiet a bit in common. And it lead to quiet the long talks about the things they liked and were into. But then the day came at last. Lance was there first but not in his usual outfit since it was just him and Cynthia out here with their Pokemon. He did have a water bottle though with him. "Hey you made it before me!" went the voice of Cynthia.
The male got up from his spot and saw her coming also in the same top as before. Like him, the female human wasn't wearing her usual outfit because it was just them. "I thought I'd get here a little early and see how things are," Lance replied. "And this is the perfect weather and time for a battle."
It was true with the few white clouds and blue skies. "Well, I'm ready," Cynthia commented.
They got into position and it begun. Neither gave an inch of ground and the same was for their Pokemon. Despite how Cynthia's Garchomp could Mega Evolve, the female human didn't use it. And that was only because her Key Stone wasn't with her. Plus it was also fair as Lance didn't have one. Even so when it came to his last Dragonite and her Garmchomp, that was quiet a ferocious battle. And it ended in a draw. "Well, that was something!" Cynthia stated wit her eyes closed and a happy smile.
Lance just took some water from the bottle he had before offering some to her, just looking at the female human be like this. Seeing her like this the male had just now begun to notice a new side to Cynthia he already liked. And also looking at her long blonde hair and grey colored eyes added something to that as well. The male human then shook his head to clear it. Lance figured it was just the tense battle that was making him feel this way and put what he had just thought to the back of his mind. "Well that was quiet a fight," the male human commented. "You're quiet strong."
"Yeah, you to and the Pokemon as well," Cynthia replied. "Perhaps we can do this some other time."
"Sounds good." The two then began to make their way back to the hotel as their Pokemon needed to rest up. But little did Lance know that what he had just thought was going to come back.
