American Helicopter Co. XH-26 Jet Jeep - USAF Museum 04-18-2017
This small helicopter used pulejet engines in the rotor tips to provide power rather than a more traditional internal engine. The small craft was easily towed and airdropped. Unfortunately, even though it perfromed well, the engines proved too loud, even in the 1950s.
