Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Well I'm super excited about this one!
My first non-free commission... EVER! Congratulations Gryph, i'm not even sure if you realize that. xD
Yes, this is what my good buddy got for 20 USD.
I realize now how medieval this looks.. But its supposed to be sci-fi. Which is kinda funny, 'cause the fact that Gryphon is a griffin makes it look all the more medieval. lol
Anyways, here you have the lovely Gryphon and all his personality wrapped up in feathers, fur, sheer, and armor that now I wish I colored like green or something.. I was going to leave it white but I felt like that was... Cheating? Idk, I didn't like it being white while everything else was blue. But i tried to color the pieces so lightly that my scanner would wash most of the color out of them. REGARDLESS! It looks good. Just very medi..
The dark blue around him is supposed to be sheer(but durable) fabric, the blue you see is a darker version of his fur color. I had to put my eraser to it to lighten it up to what i wanted it to look like. And lets hear it for my first time coloring in a wing! *claps.* And look! Real facial expression. xD I mean I do some variety, but this is the face I had to do. I just had to. There was no negotiation. lol
Now on to the things I dislike about my own art, because I'm an artist. xD
Surprisingly little. Like... I could put a list up and it be like three words. I'm not, just because. I like the sword, but I don't like the angle I locked myself into. Its supposed be heavy, and I meant for the tip to be into the ground. But I thought I wasn't going to be able to produce such a good sword, so I'm happy! I wish I had been able to put that second wing in somewhere. But everywhere I put it, it looked awkward. And then finally, I wish i had more experience in sci-fi, so I could have made this not look as medieval as it does. I put a glow on the sword! xD Look, that makes it sci-fi, right?
Anyways.
I'm extremely happy to know that Gryph was extremely happy with it. Maximum tail wagging was involved. =3
