As part of my broader objective with my writing, I’ve been developing the world in which all my stories take place far beyond just being an AU where everyone’s a furry. Asantrea is an entirely fictional world of my creation, with its own history and complex geopolitics which I’m trying to incorporate (and often retrofit) into my writing. The catalyst for this was writing a complex backstory for a character which turned into a worldbuilding exercise, and then into a novel project. Fantasy novels *always* have maps in the front covers, right? So I decided to make a map of Asantrea - or at least the parts of it that are pertinent to my writing to date.
