Basically, I feel like you're trying to rattle at the cage but you're still trapped, just like I am ;)
Go beyond a basic set of chords. Develop a theme, play with it, heck you can even do a bridge and transpose and do variations on it before returning to it. And don't ever think that I'm trying to teach you anything because I'm clueless...
One last thing: Things get a little confusing at 0:39 - notice how that doesn't "feel" right? That's because your organ-ish lead intersects with another chord in violation of "the rules", as my former teacher would've put it. To fix that you either do something else on the left hand, or do something else on the right hand, to make things work together again.
If you had a Korg Kaossilator, I'd suggest you try a different scale for that same base tone, which in terms of harmonies amounts to a different chord.
And good job getting a Kaossilator, you're way smarter than me; I was so clever as to wait until they're TOTALLY out of stock everywhere. It's come to the point where even ebay has nothing.
Oh and if you want a cheap synth that does more than presets, get the Blofeld. I got one for my brother's birthday and that little box is really really great. I already regret not getting one myself.
I'll check out the Blofeld specs and see what that's all about.
Still wish I had the Casio keyboard sometimes.
