When I rounded the corner to get my laptop from my van and this little male kestrel was sitting there beside the store. I was thinking it was a bad place for him to be so I moved toward him to try and get him to fly off. After placing my foot inches from him, I figured something was wrong. I had to text my best friend Kiaya to get my local animal control number to call them (to be fair I texted her husband , my best guy bud, Shippou Softpaw too, she answered sooner). I know people in my area are kind of dumb and really have terrible personalities and attitudes toward such things, so I stayed there with the little fellow until the officer arrived to pick him up and take him to fish and game to see what was wrong with him. He didn't seem to be injured, although he had no response to the net they scooped him up in until he tiled and started to fall in, then he just tried to right himself. His wings looked fin and the officer suggested it may have been heat exhaustion.
