Winola - Accepting a challenge
She takes on all challengers, and she hasn't killed too many of them. After all, why kill someone who's ignorant of just who they are facing. This fiery red head with her family's obsidian sword is not someone to take on lightly.
On a side note, this is the first and only time I've used ordinary copy paper and I HATE how it bleeds with the markers. Makes it hard to keep inside the lines. Oh well, for the most part I'm happy with how she's come out.

For a sword, you'd need a composition nearer to safety glass or something like that, so it would sort 'crunch' and fracture slightly on hard impacts, rather than shattering wholesale. And sharpening it would be interesting, as you'd have to very precisely flake away small pieces outward to renew the edge, which would give the blade a sort of rippling, slightly scalloped contour at the sides depending on where it took the most impacts.
As you can tell, I find the whole idea very intriguing and slightly terrifying, because it would cut through just about everything.
Many attempts have been made to replicate the blade, but legends say the obsidian originally came from the impact crater of a meteor and such raw material is very rare. All attempts at copying the blade and it's unique craftsmanship have only resulted in blades that shatter like you suggest.
Winola has been offered kings ransoms for that sword, but her answer is always the same. When they can take it from her cold dead fingers. Too bad a few have tried and learned the hard way this is not the mare with whom to fuck.
