Iron Garden- Green Meanie
This was the only car that could hold up to my whole family driving it over some 20 years. Whenever one of us needed to get somewhere and our normal ride was busted, the Green Meanie was always the first option, and it never got babied to get where it was going.
The Green Meanie is a '73 Olds Omega with a 350 rocket coupled to a turbomatic 400 transmission and a posi-rear. Meanie's biggest drawback though is drum brakes which meant literally standing on the brake pedal to get it down from highway speeds in any reasonable time. You can see one in all its glory in the movie "The Seven Ups."
