Eye Color, & Color Pencil Application
First ever attempt with the addition of color using color pencils, to my work. Had some practice all morning to merge color pencil techniques into my drawing style, using 10+ year old color pencils. Color stacks differently compared to just blacks and whites using lead pencils, so I had to adapt.
Also had fun twisting the expressions to fit the emotions behind, I personally find the smug expression the most natural (it was the last to be drawn). There are flaws in some of the shapes, and slightly inconsistent shading. Also need more techniques to show the eyelids and sockets. The colors are going to be a reference to my character design (minus the red and blues). The other colors in this pic are just fill ins, but the dark eye region is part of the design though (not fully filled in yet). Also went slightly overboard with the hostile expression, and leaking hints about his ability XD.
This is also the first artwork that I edited from a normal camera shot using my computer. Changed the brightness abit because I took the shot under natural light. Also smoothed out the corner shadows of the paper. Feel free to leave feedback.
