Dorian and Audrey (Character Bio)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Well, I suppose this has been a long time overdue, at least for some of you. I held off revealing Dorian for quite some time, and originally the plan was the same for Audrey. But for multiple reasons I ended up drawing a lot of depictions of Audrey way ahead of time. So before I get right to the bios, I will draw back a bit of the curtain here. There were two primary reasons I waited till this far in the story to reveal this character card. One, of course, was so I didn't have to produce everyone's character sheets one after another with my workload. But the other reason was that I wanted the character sheets to vaguely accompany chapters that defined the character themselves. So with Dorian's admission and his talk with Audrey, that was the big moment I was waiting for.
Dorian Everette Hunter is the father of all seven Hunter boys, from Zach to Trenton, even if some of their fur color patterns would lead one to believe otherwise. He is also the Sheriff of the North Meadowlands, the rather rural northern area of the Meadowlands as a whole, and has held the position since Vernon and his brothers were teenagers. Dorian appears to be a rather stoic, intimidating mammal who prides himself at being able to easily sniff out a criminal's true intentions. And when it comes to the citizens of the North Meadowlands, it is that confidence and intuitions that has made him sort of a pillar of the community. However, behind the scenes, Dorian is a surprisingly soft mammal, who cares deeply for his family. He wants what is best for his sons and wife, and is always concerned with their safety and wellbeing. Unfortunately, he is also stubborn, and so that strong desire coupled with that trait often lead to him butting heads with the Hunter boys, especially Vernon when it came to choosing a career outside of what Dorian thought best suited him. In the story of "A Lamb Among Wolves", Dorian once again butts heads with his son Vernon over the wolf's intent to bring Dawn Bellwether of all mammals into the family with the intention to wed her. But is there more to the law wolf's resistance to accepting Dawn than just her history?
Audrey Hunter is the mother of the Hunter pups, and Dorian's mate. She is a strong-willed and passionate mammal, and while not stubborn in the way that her husband is, she can be quite tenacious, especially when it comes to protecting her pups. She has a habit of often thinking with her heart than with her head, a trait Vernon seems to have inherited from her. The she-wolf's raw emotion often getting her into hot-water during the course of raising Vernon and his brothers, which sometimes required Dorian's cooler head to get them out of. However, while her more passionate nature has gotten her into trouble a few times, it also is arguably what most mammals like about her. Well that, and her homemade roasted corn and pumpkin pie, which is a favorite among the North Meadowland locals during festival season. Between farming, running the Hunter family food stall, and creating new recipes, the wolfess has alot to keep her busy. Yet she still finds herself missing the days when she was a new mother, with pups pawing at her ankles for attention. So naturally, the one thing she's been drilling into Vernon and the other Hunter's heads over and over is her desire for grandpups asap, adopted or otherwise. Audrey's sweet and accepting nature made her an immediate friend to Dawn despite her husband's seemingly overwhelming disdain for the ewe. But how far is the she-wolf willing to go to bat for the ewe her son is so smitten with?
Obviously, you can find out the answer to those questions, and get a better understanding by reading "A Lamb Among Wolves"
