I support a world where people can be themselves AND not have to live in fear of prejudice for doing so.
Next time you see someone who's appearance/beliefs/etc you may not be particularly fond of, keep in mind that they may not be particularly fond of yours either.
Remember that it is a lot easier to ignore the things you don't like about something than it is to spend precious energy being mean. Negative energy helps no one.
I'm not saying ignore abuse/rape/murder/etc...I mean things like someone's sexuality/gender/religion/skin color/etc

Without going into too much detail, seeing this and reading your words had just about incredible timing. My partner and I were invited to his friend's birthday celebration this weekend, and I was really looking forward to it, only to be told last minute that I shouldn't go. "No offense, you two together will make others uncomfortable." We were surprised, not so much offended but certainly saddened. I've never even met these people.
Though I've learned to deal with direct discrimination, the whole thing had me down until I ran across this. Awesome positive message. Thank you!
