Well, Chapter two... I'm pretty nervous to be posting these, but I might as well give it a shot right?...
Here's Chapter two...
Chapter Two: Life's Shadow.
My heart suddenly jolted, and I jumped up. My eyes fought
hard to adjust to the bright light of an ancient cavern.
Staring around, I realized that my forearms were oddly
enough below me, supporting my upper body. Looking to
the cursed markings and watched them fade into my very
spirit.
'On all fours?' Walking out into the sun's gift; my breathing
stopped as I looked upon an endless landscape of trees and
mountains, what appeared to be a rocky pathway down the
mountain appeared to my left, immediately reminding me
of a faint memory. I forced my view to my back, my hind
legs could only be slightly seen, but I was perfectly fine.
'What happened? Where am I?' These questions pelted the
inside of my head, making my curiosity arise, causing me to
follow the path down. Reaching the forests ground below, a
small stream ran peacefully beside the pathway. Stopping in
my tracks, I inspected the water.
'Can I drink it? Is it safe?' A rustle came from beside me,
and I jumped into the bushes frantically. Out of the noise, a
feral deer came out of the dark forest, and took a drink
from the passing water. As it passed, my wide eyes kept
their hold on the creature until it finally disappeared from
my sight. Moving quietly to the river, I drank greedily, and
walked down the same pathway. Trees reached for the
skies, and filled me with wonder. Looking around, a clearing
came to my view. Bright lights flown into the darker trail,
walking into the blaze of open sunlight, my eyes scanned
the flowers all around me. Shades of blue, red, white, and
yellow surrounded me. Realizing that I was on a tall hill, I
looked down, and saw a large wooden town at the bottom
of it. Having no knowledge as to what it was, I made my
way down a flat, rocky trail to the towns gates. Within the
town, groups of creatures walked by creating sounds that
came from all sorts of direction within the crowded place.
Walking along in excitement, I didn't see the shape that
came in front of me, and walked straight into it. The small
yelp I made got the animal's attention, and he focused
emerald eyes upon me.
"Now what ave we ere?" His voice of thunder stopped me
into a shaken wake, looking up to the huge dog, he looked
down at me in this almost kind smile.
"Oi, I got me'selves a little pup." My eyes widened to his
sudden movements, and he bent closer towards my shaken
body. "You look hungry little fella.” His paw reached into a
small satchel that hung around his shoulder, and pulled out
a small dried piece of meat. The scent of it came to me in a
heartbeat, and I took it from him. As I retrieved the small
gift, a shadow came from behind the dog.
"There you are." A male spoke softly from behind him. The
dog smiled to himself, and turned to his companion. After a
source of chatter, they both began to leave, and I followed
them.
"Great." One of the voices spoke, and turned towards me.
"Go on, get!" His voice was loud, and I stopped in an
ushered fear. He began moving towards me with a wretch,
at that moment it was enough to make me bolt off. Crossing
through the travelers, I bolted my way out of the town, and
back into the forest.
'What just happened? Why did he do that?' As I began to
ponder, my body couldn't sense the threat that was coming
at me. As I finally heard the sounds of the brush, and
turned to a golden body with round ears, a slender tail, and
a deafening roar that shook the earth.
