Kika Katrell
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
The first picture drawn for me by an artist whom I will forever admire. Who has in recent years ceased posting new artwork online. I think he focused more on his family. Which is ironic considering family issues are what caused me to stop being so active on FA around the time before he stopped posting new stuff.
Said artist is Refleximage, and the character you see rendered by his awesome hand is Kika. Reflex or R.I. as I will refer to him, first came to my attention when someone posted some of his art on the lulz board in a thread about either herm art or new artists.
This was about six or seven years ago. I immediately began to follow his work and messaged him on Fur Affinity. I was trying to open up to people. So I took a chance on following up a few comments he replied to I had made about his artwork.
I consider him a great guy, not sure if we were friends but it felt like it. Got this art fairly cheap, but it was because he *wanted* me to commission him. Kept asking me to come up with something, which is to say at that time in my life my creativity had hit a slump.
But one night I got together bits and pieces of pictures to give him an idea of how I wanted Kika designed in digital art form.
I wanted to pay him more for his work because this is the first image he sent me. To show me what he had come up with. So I ended up with two awesome pieces of artwork in the end for the same price he had quoted me.
So in my canon, the final shaded image, to be posted next, is a younger less mature Kika. More in line with my description of her being somewhat of a free youthful spirit. And said final image better conveys her actual appearance better than an awesome flat coloring job does. What with it including physical descriptions and serves as a bit of a character sheet for her.
Of note are Kika's forearms. They are the only part of her upper body covered with dense fur. Her ears have thicker fur as well. So yes her non-scaly parts are entirely fur clad. Her lower body is scale clad like a snake, since ya know it resembles one and functions like a snake's tail would.
Her sisters are similar in appearance, the snake part anyway, but are a rabbit and feline respectively. Her bizarre biology is the result of her mother's genetics, not her father's.
This image, once again my canon, is her with more maturity and years of experiences behind her.
I am so glad I finally took the time to track down these images on one of my hard discs. Though I could have also just hit up my FA gallery. I wanted to be sure these pictures were of the original quality in line with what the artist sent me.
