Commission for Urnathol on FA & Twitter, thank you very much!
The itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again

Great work Mr. Nomax.
Yeah, big spiderz...
Nuke 'em from orbit! 's the ONLY way to be sure!
Aragog, eat yer heart out! (unless your children already did?)
The almost monochromatic atmosphere gives this an almost alien look which is further accentuated by, as you put it, an itsy-bitsy spider. In this piece my favorite part has to be the light however. It subtly surrounds the spider in a gradient starting on the lower left and as it circles the light becomes stronger until you get to the main figure of the piece, where it almost clips towards the the whites, and it perfectly frames both the spider and the character.
Good job! :)
Your paintings always have a crisp quality to them and this is it– you aren't afraid of hard edges. I need to practice this.
