Cortez Santana (character commission)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
*He looks surprised to see you.*
~~~
A commission for an IRL friend of one of his D&D characters, Cortez Santana, a cat-man skeleton monk!
Cursed and killed by the god of orderliness for being such a chaotic little bard, Santana eventually tired of deathless partying (since skeletons cant get a lot out of parties, having no way to enjoy booze or food) and joined a monastery, presumably in an attempt to attain enlightenment. The monks, however, eventually tired of him and his antics, (literally) casting him out and down the mountainside. At the bottom, he met a party of adventurers that helped him piece himself back together, and he joined them in their quest.
Probably though, he is really just following them around and looking for a good time.
Anywho... I learned a LOT working on this... especially about the arrangement and shape of human shoulder's/collarbones. The Spanish guitar, with its vertebrae neck, was also fun to figure out. I would have drawn the shoulder strap as well, but the commissioner wanted it to just hang there by magic. lol.
Curiously enough, unlike almost anything else I've ever drawn, the hands were actually the easiest part. I have no idea why skeletal hands should be easier to draw, but apparently, for me, they are. Who knew?
Well... Let me know what you think!
And also: Commissions are OPEN. Send me a note! :D
Prices are negotiable, but basic information can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/commissions/fapdragon69/
(Shameless self advertisement FTW!)
~
About two hours with 1.3mm and 0.7mm HB mechanical pencils on Canson recycled bristol board, followed by about an hour and a half of touch up work on GIMP.
