Were the lights already on the tree?

Yes they were. Mom always puts the lights up as soon as we put up the tree. We put on the ornaments later.

Ooo, neat lighting! Were the bulbs on the tree larger ones, or might they only look that way because of the glow in the picture?

It's the glow.
