Map of Lykans
I know it is not a very professional map, but as I finish writing the next chapter of Embertooth, I though I might upload this here since some of you might find it interesting.
This is the map of Lykans, the world that the characters of Frostpaw and Embertooth come from. It is still a provisional version, though, since there is a lot to be added, but this is what I am using as a reference when writing those two stories. The names of the places are in Spanish though (sorry for English readers/de nada, lectores españoles =P) but I wanted to write a little explanation of the most relevant places that will be mentioned in the story so far:
Before the fehlar invasion, the eastern half of the continent belonged to the kane, while the western region was the fehlar's territory.
The northern end of the continent is Northundra (Tundranorte in Spanish), the coldest region of Lykans. Most of this territory belongs to the family of the Frostpaws: the royal family of arctic foxes, which Zèon belonged to. Arguably the most inhospitable place of the whole continent, with perpetual snows and extremely cold temperatures, only a few species live in the region: mostly other arctic foxes, arctic wolves and a few huskies.
Right to the south, the Barkinclouds have their own territory. This family of huskies, historically tied to the Frostpaws, rule on a slightly less desolate land. Snow conveniently melts in summer, allowing the Barkinclouds to trade with other families during this season.
The Flameswamps (los Pantanos de Fuego in Spanish) are located in the north-west region of the continent. The palace of Alekai Embertooth, ruler of the fehlar, stands proudly in the middle of the vast red wheat fields that give the region its name.
The Hawthorn Woods (Bosquespino in Spanish) are one of the largest forests of the continent. They stretch along the coast of the lake, covering a large territory. Some kane refugee camps are hidden in the forest, safe from the fehlar armies. Zèon and Luca spent almost four years living there until they were abducted and taken to the Box.
The Dafiram Desert (Desierto de Dafirama in Spanish) lies to the south of the continent. It is the warmest region in Lykans, and just like Northundra, only a few species can endure the hard life in the desert. It is not clear whether the territory belongs to the kane or the fehlar, since the few oasis that can be found through the dunes have always been the subject of disputes between the two races. Most of the population is composed of nomads who wander from place to place, struggling to survive. The fehlar family of the Softpaws', however, is known to control the desert commerce with an iron fist.

And how interesting! This website... I once had a map for Blood on Ice but lost it long, long ago. I might have to play with this map for a bit.
And the fehlar now have conquered almost every single place in the continent... except for Dafiram, which will always be a conflictive territory, and few other little strongholds.
Love some of the names - especially Softpaws ruling with iron fists!! ;)
