In japanese folklore, tanukis are yokai (??), magical creatures that can create illusions by transforming themselves into anything.

Variants and Rules
Since this batch is centered around a single species you can go with an anthro, kemonomimi or even feral character. To stretch things a bit more you can also with the rest of the genus, as in, you can go with western raccoons instead of tanukis
Also, if you want to just a picture of a character who's already a tanuki, such as Michiru Kagemori (?????) you can do so too, go to examples to see well... Examples.
The characters can be either an OC of yours, a character from any established franchise, or even yourself.
