Shinto Wedding
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Neither Wolf nor Fox were particularly religious. Both men had long since made their peace with life and held firm understanding that what lay beyond death was not all that important to them. So the thought of asking the divine to enter into their lives at any point had never really be an issue...until now.
How the pair had come to deciding on an old style traditional of marriage that even today was only practiced in a very remote part of Corneria was something that many between the teams of Star Wolf and Star Fox would never now, but for those of the inner circle surrounding the grooms...they knew. Partially because they were there when Fox broke down after Peppy handed the vulpine a box containing his father and mother's wedding attire, a gift that James McCloud had left to the older hare for his son should the day ever come when Fox felt the need to settle down.
Wolf, ever the silent pillar of strength, held onto his lover as the green eyed vulpine let out waves of emotion as he breathed deep the scent of the man who helped to bring him life, all the while glowering up at Peppy with a look that promised a future tongue lashing. It took almost an hour for the leader of team Star Fox to calm down, but once he did he thanked the taller man and then slipped on the the montsukihakama, which, ironically enough, fit him like a glove and then stood back to let the others survey him. It was Peppy's turn to release a few tears as he watched a nervous smile pull itself onto the edge of McCloud's face; almost forty years ago now he had been standing in front of another vulpine who had asked him to give his honest opinion about how he looked in the attire in question and damn if Fox did not look exactly like his father back then.
The wedding was held outside on a clear spring day. The affair was large and yet mostly informal. No one outside of the two teams were allowed to view the vows being made between the two men, with the exception of General Pepper who threatened that he'd parachute down from a jet fighter if he wasn't invited; no doubted that the old man would. Rings were exchanged. Two new husbands kissed. Everyone cheered. Food was eaten. Music was played. People danced and got drunk. And by the end of the day Fox McCloud was now Fox McCloud O' Donnell.
And then came evening...

In all seriousness, though this is too damned sweet. I've told the artist how well she brings your idea to life. This, well it's just so romantic.
To the grooms: omedetougozaimasu. Suenagaku o-shiawase-ni.
