\n This is my continued-new series Ember and Flare
\n I do not own the Pokemon trademark nor its world, my story is an attempt to make it resemble the game-world as closely as possible (with my own quirks to add flavor)

\n     Hadyn was peddling down the road racing them, looking back. Flare and Ember were catching up, quickly, they were getting much faster, the twin Vulpix neck to neck trying to beat each other as well as he.  Hadyn sped up slamming himself as hard as he could. Looking back Hadyn didn't notice how close the turn was getting. Hadyn looked forward and realized he had reached the turn, well he had won, and he was going way to fast to take the turn.  Hadyn slammed on his breaks trying to slow down to turn, thinking he could do it Hadyn starts to turn, nope not slow enough.

\n         Hadyn slid off the side of the road, riding backwards down the steep hill through the trees, hitting a rock Hadyn got thrown off the back of his bike, and rolled down the hill. 'Fumph' Hadyn made a soft sound as he landed and finally stopped moving, Hadyn looked down and realized he landed on someone. Hadyn rolled to the side, as he rolled off he mumbled an apology, embarrassed realizing that it was a girl.

\n         Hadyn looked at her and realized, despite his actual heartfelt apology, she was very unhappy.  "Heath Tackle." Hadyn stumbles as he gets slammed from a Vulpix that rushed him from the side knocking him onto the ground.  Hadyn rolled from his back to his side and then stomach and started to rise, "I'll show you to interrupt our training, Heath Headbutt"

\n        The male Vulpix started charging at him head lowered. Ember suddenly flashed by slamming herself into the male knocking him into the air by a few feet, Flare following closely Flashed by Jumped from Embers front shoulders, Ember forcing upward to give her an extra boost. Flare slammed into the male midair. The male vulpix was flung backwards slamming into a tree and slumped to the ground, obviously unconscious.
\n         "Heath, return," a red beam shot out from a pokeball the female trainer was holding sucking him in.  "so more then clumsy fool, a trainer too, looks like i may get a workout.  "sandshrew, cubone, come out." She flung two other pokeballs forward releasing them. "two versus two, sounds like fun."

\n           Hadyn jumped up and yelled out "quick attack girls."
\n           Ember and Flare charged each one headed for a different opponent, "defense curl" the female trainer yelled out, Ember and Flare were coming in to fast to stop, Cubone curled into a ball facing his Skull-ed head out towards them, Sandshrew curled up so that his rock shard scales faced them.  Bam!!!   Cubone and Sandshrew bounced back, their defenses taking all the damage, Ember and Flare were stunned for a second after the impact.
\n            "Cubone bonemarang, Sandshrew Sandstorm"  Sandshrew whipped up a storm of sand and dust around himself creating a nearly impenetrable shield of dirt, Cubone threw his bone hammer out smacking both Ember and Flare before it went back into the storm to him.  Ember and Flare dodged the next throw but they kept coming, the were unable to penetrate the storm and were not immune to its damage like they were.
\n             The bone flew out over and over forcing Ember and Flare to be defensive. Hadyn had no idea what to do to get through this the first problem, that bone, the second that sand. "Tail-whip the bone" Ember and Flare smacked it on its next pass knocking it onto the ground, no more bone he thought. Hadyn thought of sand and how to stop it, wait he thought ' why stop the sand, just make it hurt' "Ember, Flare burn the sand turn it to glass force it to cut them" Ember and Flare set upon it and soon it was a whirling ball of molten sand the chunks smacking each other and getting larger. Hadyn heard a loud growl large chunks of molten sand floating around now 'they must be getting burned'
\n             The sandstorm started to slow down due to the large pieces, "girls stop, get ready to attack" they stopped and so did the sand as the wind it was creating caused it to rapidly cool and collapse upon itself, as the shards hit the ground Ember and Flare charged in, giving a good body slam to each of them, the heat and the impact did their job.
\n             Hadyn turned to the female trainer "it looks like i won"
\n              Agitated she silently recalled cubone and sandshrew, got on her bike and walked down the hill more to a second road, and drove off.
\n             Hadyn turned to Ember and Flare "oh my vixen you were great, come here" as he got up to move he collapsed, looking down he realized his leg was injured and he would not be able to travel that night. Ember and Flare went over to him and crawled into his lap, he stroked them and laid back, taking his pack off and placing it under him as a pillow. He couldn't help notice how warm they both were, as he lay there stroking them he fell asleep.
\n           Ember and Flare climbed atop him to sleep, keeping him warm, and safe.
\n
