Chapter Six: Sun Going Down, Part Two

And then as Erick watched as his brother, encased in the glow of his powerlines lifted up his hand, shaped by nanobots to be in the shape of a hammer, raised it into the air. And then he held it there, waiting and counting the seconds, one didn't have to be an empath to know that Erick was scared shitless. Looking forward at his brother, covered in a layer of metal, he had failed.

“I'm sorry brother, I shouldn't have let this happen to you but I will fix this, because I know you can be fixed. Pavlock can fix this and Pavlock will find a cure for you." Erick begged as he tried to move his hands around, but they were stuck to a chair, how pointless. He tried to move himself on the chair, and see if he could throw himself but that failed as well.

“Oh Pavlock, right the professor, well we will deal with him but do know that you won't escape. Know that I have specialized powers unlike the two below me, my nanobots are designed to give me superpowers, not jerry-rigged and dangerously set up like the two below me." Erick explained showcasing his hand, it shifted back into a hand and then into a sharp blade, and then it turned into a bump on his hand.

That bump traveled up his arm, and Erick looked at the discussing show of powers as it hit his head and turned into a helmet, and then going over the back of his head, it turned into a pair of wings, metallic spreading out. It was obvious that this was different.

“Who needs nanobots built into your skin when you can be made of them and better than anyone else on this planet?" Barry asked, no taunted as he walked forward and raised his hammer hand again. Erick laughed a bit and looked around, he was in Finn's basement, he didn't think he would ever get to see the basement, but who knows.

And then looking around, Erick tried to shake his chair. He shook it and tried to tip over, and like that he managed to trick Barry. Before he could fall over, the hammer matter was pushed down into his feet and they stretched out, grabbing onto the chair and holding onto it as Erick shook it.

“Well then it looks like we have reached a standing point, you can't fall over and I can't attack you but the question of the matter is how long can you go?" Barry asked as he held onto the chair pulling his feet in and getting closer to Erick, he licked his lips and approached.

“Oh, well brother I think you know how long I can go from the banging on your wall." Erick retorted as he shook the chair, in that moment of weakness, he was nearly able to escape from Barry's grip. Erick cursed as he got stuck again in the grip, he was beat, and he couldn't do shit right now. “You know these new powers are a really kick in the ass for me."

“Oh don't worry, this is just the extent of my powers. You will learn so much more about me, I will be the villain you deserve. I can beat you, and I will beat you and I will push you until you die or I die, but by then the Generation Threes will be ready." Barry said as he smiled and knew how this would end. “You can look into people's minds and try to feel how it would end but I know how this will end and I know how this will happen."

“Don't play me, the Outsiders are not going to view my death well, if you kill me then you will raise an army against yourself and I don't have to be empath to know you want to." Erick threatened back as he closed his eyes and tried to raise his power, he needed some leverage against the man.

“You can't see my victory coming, I don't need to kill you to win, I just need to best you, I can let your stupid human body do the work. I can just let the wind wear you down and let your stomach empty and then you will slowly melt away from this mortal plane, I don't have that problem." Barry spoke as he pulled his hand back and decided to grant Erick his wish. Grabbing some rope he ducked down and Erick looked back.

“Finn?" Erick questioned, and then before something could happen, a beam of electricity spiraled out and hit Barry. The nanobot was knocked into the wall, getting knocked to the wall. Finn walked over and grabbed Erick's ropes, pulling them apart as he looked over to Barry.

“Oh God not Barry, why did you have to do this nanobots. You will pay for this and we will make sure that none of our friends are going to be hurt anymore, I can promise you that." Finn threatened as he looked over to Barry on the ground, blue light shining against the brick wall and concrete ground. The nanobot laughed as he stood up and his body shined in the moonlight.

“Ah yes Finn, I had the feeling the divine Outsider would come here to battle me, arm yourself because no one else here will save you and nanobots will replace your body. We are very interested in being our other Gen Two leader." Barry stood up and cracked his fingers, a metallic sword popping out of his hand and wrapping it in his hand.

“Leave us alone, let us survive the Kagens and the Riftwalkers, leave and allow us to live. Erick get away from here and call Erick we will need his help as well." Finn commanded as he put his hand forward and electricity sparked between his fingers, if the nanobots wanted a fight and a war then they would get one.

Running forward, Finn saw no need in holding back and he put his hands together, running forward and putting them into the air, electricity blasted out and struck the ground and wooden beams, they caught fire. Barry sent his sword forward, thrusting towards Finn.

“Quicker than that!" Finn yelled as he twisted around the sword and stuck down his fist. It hit Barry's shoulders and like bleeding blood, nanobots flew out. He hit the ground. Finn smiled and stood his ground, putting his hands forward he waited a few seconds and let the thunder crackle between his fingers.

And then as the nanobot was defenseless on the ground, he fired. If he could do this, he could knock Barry out and get him captured. Quick pulses of electricity being struck from Finn's hands. They hit the nanobot and the high voltage pulses started to excite his skin, nanobots were broken from the bond and flew out into the air and back into his body.

“Leave me alone!" Crying out Barry thrusted his hands forward and then like someone fighting on the street, a massive ball of blue energy flew forward. Finn threw himself onto the ground, rolling out of the way. And then Barry threw another, Finn felt it hit him and he was knocked back, it hurt like a bitch.

“Oh you horrible person!" Finn hit the wall and the energy passed him, he felt his skin burned and he felt his arm weakened and then suddenly as his eyes were dazed and confused, suddenly someone grabbed his chin. The shark nearly choked as Barry pulled himself closer.

“Consider this your warning, I don't want to kill you, I just want to transform you into a nanobot." Barry threatened as he pushed down on Finn's chin, hearing the bones starting to fail against his grip. Finn screamed out in pain as he felt his chin nearly crushed. “That's right scream out and no one will come for you, because you will die, I will make sure of it. And know that you will be alone, but come after me and I will make sure you die."

The nanobot squeezed and he squeezed hard, Finn felt his windpipe nearly collapsed as all air was cut off to his lungs. He started to struggle as Barry lifted in him in the air, Finn felt the fog of war appear in his vision as the entire world was cut off, he could only see one thing, the cold dead vision of Barry's blue eyes.

“Come with us son, the afterworld is so nice."

He struggled as he tried to pull any amount of air into his body, he struggled even as his feet stopped moving. As more time pushed he barely heard Erick screaming in the background and then as he felt the light envelop him, suddenly air hit his lungs, transfusing into the blood stream and pushing out the carbon dioxide, flowing up his throat and into his brain, suddenly everything worked right again.

Barry threw Finn, the shark screaming again as he hit the ground and looking around, Barry disappeared in a stream of white light. Finn breathed slowly and carefully as he looked forward and saw the world fade in and out of existence, everything was all blurry and it was all crazy.

“Come back here when you want a proper fight." Finn just heard in his head he knew that was Barry challenging him to a rematch.

“Oh God, I can't die, I need to fix it, I need to apologize, I need to get the Riftwalkers and the Kagens to become friends and get Bright and Basil together, I need to apologize for Joel." Finn said, as slowly and slowly that word was drained of all meaning. He stood up and leaned against the wall, he needed to make peace for the past, he had just apologized to his parents and he wanted to see his house again, he looked at Erick and the komodo knew what they were going to do.

Driving forward, only an hour later the sun was rising over the hot and lengthy Nevada desert. Finn tapped his fingers to the beat as the radio slowly got out of range, but looking forward and checking the GPS, they seemed to be in the right area.

“Are you really sure you want to do this. Barry is still out there, and he could attack the city and Elijah could go crazy, the Riftwalkers could attack us, I saw what happened to you and I don't want that to happen again." Erick said as they drove down the desert road, barely marked out by the tire tracks of previous explorations. And then looking forward, they broke through the perception filter, a tiny orange glow appearing and then the Riftwalker town in the distance.

“Yes I need to do this, I felt so close to death that my parents were calling me to give up and accept it, I need to make peace with some things and I don't know if I killed Joel or not but I need some sort of acceptance from Elijah and the ram needs something from me as well." Finn drove forward, the radio becoming complete static as the perception filter knocked out service.

“I mean, see this sun, maybe this will be a sign of good faith to the Riftwalkers and we will need some if we want the peace treaty to work out, maybe some things can end and the sun will still rise." Finn explained looking forward and Erick nodding, he was faking as much.

“Well it makes sense, so I will let your baby-given sense of self-conviction and urge to make peace guide us. Just don't do anything stupid." Erick pushed as they drove forward and then suddenly a sword hit their hood. Finn hit the break and in the send afterwards, Basil appeared. Opening his wings and holding onto the sword and the car.

A sand cloud engulfed them as the car braked and paused in the desert. Finn looked as Basil stood in the sun, soon clouded by the sand. The Riftwalker warrior stood in the windy desert, the completely mute colors of sand around him and he looked down at Finn. He took his sword and pulled it out of the hood, landing on the ground he grabbed the door handle and opened it.

“You know that Isaac is going to kill you for his car between this and the fire, and the sand and all the damage this poor thing has had to take over the last month or so." Finn quipped as Basil stood mute outside the car. “But I do regress, I am here for Ignatius and Elijah."

“I guess but you are not going to be allow there, they will not allow it." Basil retorted as Finn smiled and stood up, grabbing onto Basil's hand he held it and allowed a few sparks to fly.

“Now then I am not in the mood for this, I need to deal with the nanobots and I need to make peace, so then you will teleport me into the throne room of your leader or else I will personally clip those wings." Finn threatened and Erick coughed a bit. Basil swallowed and grabbed on to his sword throwing it and it flying towards the center tent.

Finn put his hand back and grabbed onto Erick before they teleported away, and then the three of them disappeared in a flash. And like that, the three of them were in the top floor of the Riftwalker castle. A window broken, and glass on the ground, in the center of it was Basil's sword and of course grabbing onto it was Finn, Erick and the former shargon.

“What is the meaning of this, do you three wish to have your heads removed from your body!" Ignatius said as Agentic stood up in shock. The ground shook a little, but that didn't stop Finn. The shark walked right up to him and seemingly with a large amount of audacity raised a finger to the man.

“Oh there will be no head removals today, instead I know one thing, before we arrived they were taking about the Kagen's attacking them, Erick?" Finn looked back and the dragon nodded that was all he needed to know. “Now the let's talk because in this world we don't, the Kagens are not going to attack you and you will not attack you."

“And where do you get off saying that mortal?" Ignatius looked down at Finn, even with the two feet size difference, Finn was not detoured from finally giving what he needed a “reason you suck" speech.

“Because I am mortal and I have that much more to lose, the world might be cardboard box to you but I am the worlds cardboard doll and it might play with me but I survive." Finn smiled as he spoke, knowing he had caught the High Brother in a bad place, electricity sparked between his fingers. “So then you will sign the treaty, because I am just that more powerful. Because every morning I get up in defiance of the world wanting to crush me like cardboard and that makes me just that much greater than you."

“So then know that until the nanobots are destroyed you are under us after that then you can do whatever the fuck you want but until then you are my bitch and you will understand that I say if there is or is not a war to be fought!"

“Are you sure you want to do this. I know you think you deserve something but I know what really happened." Basil explained as he looked down before the well that was Elijah's pit. “Only the night earlier had it come to me that I learned the truth, but maybe Erick can help us."

As they stood in the dark tent, Finn looked over to Erick who nodded and grabbed their hands and like that the room was gone. Erick squeezed his eyes and pushed himself as the world around them disappeared. Finn looked around in amazement as the junkyard appeared.

And like that it was seemingly cut and paste from their memories, some pieces of junk didn't line up well and the dirt changed color, as if from the rain. And when he remembered the rain, it started to pour. The water passed through his body and Finn realized he had free reign around the area.

Looking back at himself, he looked at the young shark in that stupid red vest and short combination. And turning, Finn saw Joel and Isaac, fighting Elijah in the yard. This was the moment where it all went down, and he was looking right at it, as his concentration slipped and a metal piece flew out of his hand.

It was heading right for Joel, but looking up into the sky, so was a bullet. Finn paused, a gunshot. There was a gunshot, hidden by the bolts of thunder. Time started to move in slow motion, steam rising from the bullet as it hit raindrops.

And then he followed the path, from the spot he was at, the bullet came from a large two story building in the distance. The shooter had to be there, running over the fence, Finn felt his guilt fly off him as he ran through the white void empty by his memory. He saw just a staircase extend down to the ground, still as he approached the building the illusion became apparent.

It was taken from one moment in his eye, and as he reached the building, only the shape stood, it was covered in a horrid almost blurry texture which while in the junkyard looked fine, looked horrid as he climbed the stair. Still he need to see who it was.

And then as he stood at the top of the building he paused, holding a blurry gun and looking down the scope was a blurry person but he knew who it was. Falling to his knees a tear fell down his eye, the same as on the person he saw, it was Michelle and then like that the illusion ended.

“Elijah is trapped like that, but when he is returned to normal, when all his energy is expended I will explain to him what happened." Basil let Erick's hand go and they all looked at Finn, who had a tear coming down his face.

“Michelle did what she was told to do, it was Maverick who did this. He didn't know this would happen either, revenge is not a possible here unless you want to become a criminal." Erick explained to Finn as he tried to grab onto his hand, but Finn pulled it away and instead stood up onto the ledge of the well.

“I will talk to him and make sure he knows why this happened." Finn then fell and dropped, little flashes of electricity coming down and show casing the deepness of the well and then nothing. The two of them looked at each other shocked to how far Finn was going.

“Get him out of there!" Erick yelled and then he felt it, the feeling of regret, the well of regrets. He paused, he felt no pain, only depression, and then his face skunk. “Never mind, he's fine."

Finn landed in the strangely spacious well, quickly he ran to a side and looked forward, two red eyes looked at him and then they jumped forward. Sparks of energy flew upwards but something was holding it back, chains. The large beast held back and confined to the well.

“And the name of the beast is 666, beware the wrath of the lamb." Finn whispered to himself, Elijah seemed to be pulling the chains as far as they would go. Walking forward, he felt no fear only horror that this is what happened to him.

“If they ask you why you are like this, there is no one to blame and no one to blame for your condition, no one to blame for your brother's death. Everyone had a part in it and together they formed the deadly trinity. And for that I apologize, and I apologize for your master's ignorance at your pain, I will do the best." Finn whispered into the ear of the large Riftwalker and hoped that it would make a difference in the future.

“I will do anything I can do in the future to make sure that you don't have to undergo this horrible power building up state again, I will make sure that you can control yourself again, and for what has happened to you I apologize and if I could time travel and make it right I would." Finn nodded and backed up, watching as change occurred in the beast.

He backed up and it seemed the best was somewhat pacified, his rampant movements coming to a halt and stream coming out of his nose. The beast whimpered and lied down onto the ground. The green triangle glowed for a while and then it too disappeared. Finn looked at the beast and knew he had at least fixed one thing.

“Come and get me Basil." Finn yelled and not a moment afterwards a sword flew down and like that the shargon appeared, and probably afraid for his life, threw it up into the air. Basil grabbed onto his hand and the two of them disappeared into the void and then appeared at the top of the well.

“Well then he is going to be just fine, he seems better now." Finn wobbled side to side as he regained his balance, and looking to Erick, the Komodo Dragon nodded, and he looked over to Basil who looked grateful. Looking down the hole, the beast was now sleeping.

“Well then you think the Riftwalkers will sign the treaty now." Finn looked over to Basil.

“I think we can make them, they know that peace is more important and so is ending the nanobots first as well." Basil said and confirmed that they had at least managed to put a dent into the xenophobic ways of the races and maybe just maybe if Bright had put as much work with the Kagens as well then the treaty would be signed and peace could be found.

Ross smiled as he opened his eyes, sun peering past the window shades and into the room. Looking around the room was so nice and yet it wasn't his, it was Billy's room. The room covered with science fiction mementoes and pictures of a dragon growing up without parents. ORION would be awesome if not for what it represented.

Still as sun peered into the darkness covered room, hitting little specs of dust in the room, Ross opened his eyes and looked around. He wrapped his arms just a bit tighter around Billy's chest and the blue dragon woke up. He opened his mouth and grumbled a bit more, until Ross kissed him.

“I love mornings with you, it almost hides the calamity that is this world. I love everything about you from your scales and your wings and the way your white scales overlap with your blue scales on your face." Ross whispered into his ear and a smile formed on both of their faces. “I wish this could last forever."

“I wish I had time powers." Ross said, getting a laugh from Billy. The dragon turned over and kissed Ross, the two rubbed noses and then Billy put his head between Ross's neck, snuggling between the dragon's wings and his neck. Ross opened his wing just a bit and poked him in the head.

“No me gusta." Billy said as he tried to disappear, but as he hugged his lover, Ross looked over to the clock and heard his stomach rumble. It was time for someone to get up and make pancakes.

“Ross stand up." Billy whispered as he pulled himself out of the dragon's grip, Ross awoke and looked over to Billy. Billy leaned against the edge of the couch, Ross took a page from the Finn book of relationships and did what his lover said, wondering if he wanted to try some sort of kinky new sex move.

“You want this moment to last forever with the sun coming in and the dust just settling, so do I. And I know how, for the last two years we have been dating on and off." Billy started as he reached into the couch and grabbed something, Ross woke up and knew what was happening.

“I'm not going to waste time when I can see the answer bursting out of your lips, but know you have made me so happy and brought joy to so many days in this dark life, so will you marry me." Billy smiled as he opened the black box and revealed a pure black ring, only with blue highlights on the side and a section of pure gold through the middle.

Ross nearly froze up, he felt himself battling the urge and instinct to turn into pure metal. Still it was like his vocal cords were. He looked down at it and knew how it would look on his finger, the ring would have been perfect for his finger, the gold and the blue highlights would have made it unmissable to anyone.

“I love you and yes, a million times yes." Ross held his finger out and Billy slipped on the ring. Ross looked at it and smiled, Billy stood up and the two dragons barely out of bed kissed. Their wings opening up and flapping with joy. And all the while this might have been the happiest moment in Carson City.

And while that was happening, another Outsider was coming out of sleep, this time it was due to the sound of a car in his driveway. Isaac awoke out of his slumber as he sat on his seat. He must have gone out for some early morning work and felt asleep, still the sound of his car turning off woke him fully and he walked over to the garage button.

Leaning down he grabbed his phone and brought it up to his face, had he been paying attention to it, he would have seen the RSVP to the wedding of Ross and Billy that Iren had already put together. Instead he saw the massive sword hole in his car as Finn and Erick walked out of the car, the Latin chorus nearly had their jobs back, but the shark took a deep breath.

“What the hell happened to my car?" Isaac asked, his words distorted by his hand being firmly applied to his face. Finn looked and walked over looking at Erick and then Erick looked back to Finn as they passed through the open garage door, all the while in the distance the neighbor was mowing the lawn. This time he couldn't have missed the damaged car.

“Well let's just say Basil owes you a few favors, on the bright side it is insurance deductible." Erick quickly spat out trying to defuse the bomb that could be Isaac, or more appropriate black hole. Turning over, they looked to Isaac and he was a bit blushed. “Now then we have a bit of a problem."

“Oh never mind, that look at this. Ross and Billy are getting married, and Iren is the maid of honor. Apparently she can be a bit more than a baby carrier." Isaac read of the text and his mouth nearly dropped to the floor, as well as the gravity in the building. Finn nearly fell off the floor and hit the ceiling before everything returned to normal, sans some broken glass. “Oh sorry for that and accidental misogynistic comment number twenty."

“Let's just keep them to ourselves." Finn spoke and Erick felt the bit of shame both of them had and then just applying of bit of his power's magic, he switched the topic. “Oh yeah, now then we need to face someone in battle, it's Barry, he only wants to fight us in my basement, we need to save him."

“Oh god you have to be kidding, that's messed up. The nanobots got him but if we can capture him we might be able to reverse engine the nanobots as well, their gen twos aren't they." Isaac walked over to the computer and started to type, and then something came up on screen, it was a simulation millions of tiny particles floating around. “Do you think that the nanobots kept the brain in the person?"

“Maybe the brain can do allot of strange things maybe they thought it would be an advantage to do so and use it for processing personality, something which nano-Barry does have. He's my brother act rational." Erick added as he looked at Isaac, and felt the processing of information, pure information inside the man's head and all of it going so quick.

“Well they might not kill the memory as quickly, and they would need to make the information travel as quick as possible, so they would keep it like RAM in a computer not like a hard drive that is slower. So cutting power would kill it, but the nanobots wouldn't have a reason to believe that all of their power would be gone." Isaac added as he ran away from the computer and instead towards his drawer, he pulled up something incased in a layer of hard metal. The symbol on it only drew doom.

“That's radioactive, why do you have it?" Finn asked frightened as he saw all the pieces come together in a way that looked more ready to blow them all to tiny little pieces that something useful.

“Well if memories still exist then if we cut the RAM of the nanobots, that might kill all the coding, if we can then keep Barry away from the nanobots his brain might boot up instead, so he keeps the nanobots but is good." Isaac pulled a container put and it had a LCD screen on it, attaching some wires to it and the radioactive container the screen started. “Then I can upload a virus so that the nanobots don't get him again and he stays good. Now then have you heard of the Starfish Prime nuclear test?"

“No but the words nuclear aren't giving me the greatest amounts of hope that this test won't kill us all." Finn reacted as he watched Isaac attack a tiny spinning device to the machine, and then placed a tiny data disk into it, and then he placed a cover around the case and it was intact. On top of the device was a little circular import, inside of it were two battery connectors, adaptive.

“Now than this is going to make a little nuclear bomb, the explosion won't hurt you it is contained instead the energy goes into a gamma ray generator, which will in turn cause the EMP. Wiping the RAM, but not hurting you if your far enough away, about fifty meters." Isaac said as he reached below and grabbed what seemed to be a nine-volt battery.

“Now then this is a very efficient reaction, it only needs 5 millivolts of electricity to go off and this is a nine-volt you will have what you need. You only have to connect it with the adaptor, if Barry does get this battery, then you can find another." Isaac said as he handed it to the two. “Don't connect them and be careful, this will create a shield afterwards to protect Barry, make sure he is near, it should only target him."

“Ok then, let's do this. Two nation army." Erick looked over to Finn and then back to Isaac and they nodded. Walking back, Finn still held the car keys. And the shark did nothing but say goodbye to his car as the two walked into it, Erick holding the EMP and Finn holding the battery.

“Are you ready to do this." Erick asked as they stepped into the car and Finn looked at Isaac. Isaac walked over to the computer and started to close the garage as he presumably went to work on the code for Barry. Finn looked back at Erick and saw him.

“Are you ready to do this, you seen into so many minds and saw the answer, do you even need to hear it from me?" Finn asked as he looked at Erick and then the Komodo nodded. “Fine then I think we can do this, if we don't act stupid."

“Good enough then, let's do this for Barry, let's save him and let's make sure that he doesn't set the world on fire." Erick affirmed as the Finn grabbed the shifter and the car left the drive way, the two of them had a mission. It wasn't exactly a mission from god but it was worth something.

And then of course arriving at Finn's house, the area was abandoned. They parked the car a good distance away and looked at the house around. Their seemed to be a good distance away, as the other house were just a bit burnt and seemed abandoned. Walking forward, Finn saw his house and the shattered floorboards all around.

The two of them walked forward and looked at the house, the basement entrance was barely intact and Finn nodded as he stepped onto the first step. Walking down it, he looked as the loose floorboards covered his head. And then they walked into the empty basement, the only thing left was cracked concrete on the ground.

“Well Outsiders isn't it funny how people seem to just know when this happens and they abandon the area." And then like that a series of tiny swarms of nanobots appeared and formed in front of them into Barry. “I think the bigger question is how did I speak when I was a swarm?"

“Put your fists up we're here to fight." Finn spoke as he put his hands up and let energy spark from them and then jumping forward with an electricity blast, fired it at Barry who just dodged it. The nanobot looked at Finn and rolled his eyes a bit, that was a dirty trick.

“Dirty tricks already, then what is even the point of fighti… oh wait I have a few of them in my arsenal as well." Barry said as his entire arms turned into a pair of sword, Finn glanced back to Erick and nodded. It was time for a good exit plan, if he could knock the head boards above then he could trap Barry inside.

Finn jumped forward and shinesparked forward, knocking himself into Barry and knocking him back. All the while, Erick clicked the button on the LCD, a timer was set for two minutes, enough time, he placed the battery onto the two adapters and the countdown started. Erick looked over to Finn and wondered if they could distract Barry long enough.

And then the fight began, Finn fired two blasts of energy forward and Barry fired them back. Finn put his hands up and fired a stream of electricity forward, Barry countered it with some of his own. The two streams of energy hit and the room briefly shook and dust was blasted up into the air. Barry smiled as he pushed his fingers forward and Finn conducted his energy, clamping his fingers together.

“How long can you hold this up, memory banks tell me that you were connected to a power block last time that you did this." Barry asserted, and Finn knew he was right. How long could he hold this up, even with his two power bricks, he could maybe go full power for three minutes.

“I don't know but I know that I won't loose and I won't allow myself for you to let this world of yours happen." Finn yelled as he pushed on, forcing himself forward even as the arks of energy off the beam collision became more intense. And then he did something stupid, he fired ten percent of his electricity. “Take this!"

The room was lit up in a shade of blue and Finn screamed as he blasted the significant portion of his energy all at once. The energy all turned back on Barry and the nanobot was blasted back into the wall, his body vibrating as he hit it and absorbed it. The energy dissipated back and Finn watched as his energy barely had any effect.

Still he looked back and the bomb was set up, they might have had ten seconds or ten minutes, but something was pushing him to fight. And then Barry fired a beam, Finn felt it hit him stomach and he was knocked back. It hurt like a bitch and it continued to do so, Barry pushed him back against the wall.

“So then Outsider you think that you can truly win against me, a nanoleader with all the power and time in the world?" Barry asked as he pushed Finn against the wall and then the shark looked over a bit. He looked to Erick who was nodding, it was time to go and it was time to leave quickly.

“No, but I can do this!" Finn yelled and perhaps even more dangerously he let the energy sour and blasted it out of his hands, fifty percent of stored stockpile, Barry like a rag doll nearly exploded into a billion bits and landed on the ground seemingly overloaded with electricity.

“Ten seconds run as fast as you can!" Erick yelled as he pushed Finn up the stairs, they started to run as the timer countered down. But then there was the sound of the timer aduiabliy clicking down. Erick and Finn made a dash for the car, they were nearly there. But then in the distance Erick heard the sound of a small beam firing and when the entire rest of Finn's house didn't glow up in a ball of electricity both of them knew there was a problem.

Barry stuck to the floor, laughed as he shot the battery away, he wasn't stupid enough to fire the container, but wasn't smart enough to escape. Erick turned around.

“No he'll shoot at you!" Finn yelled as he rushed past, and shinesparked, the shark sunk into the basement in front of Erick and then as both of them descended the stairs, Erick watched as Barry fired a final blast, Finn flew up through the floorboards and landed at least by the car. And then it was the two of them once again, in the dingy old basement but this time Erick had the advantage.

“What are you doing brother, kill me, shoot me, get your revenge don't use that fool's gold." Barry cried out and like before one didn't have to be an empath to call out his bluffing. Erick reached down and looked at the machine, kneeling on the floor he saw that Barry was crawling over, his energy systems disabled. Erick paused, the timer was at one second, if the battery was connected it would go off and Isaac didn't have dammed reset button.

Time paused for Erick as he looked over and saw the mess of acid on the floor and then he leaned down and put the two adaptors in his hand, any voltage could work, he just needed a little spark to start the reaction and looking to his brother and everything, it told him that it would be worth it.

“Sorry brother, but you need to live and you blasted that battery pack to oblivion, so then I ask the statement. I need energy and who really needs a brain?" And like that Erick grabbed the two adaptors and stuck them to his head. The Komodo smiled as his brother frowned and ran, sparks blasting off his head as he purposefully burned his brain into energy.

Crashed into the ground Finn suddenly felt his wrist floating and his feet, with his left hand he clasped for the road and looking behind him, he saw the source of the magnetism. A massive ball of energy glowed, a massive magnetic source of energy and electricity. Sparks of lighting stuck through the ball and Finn opened his eyes as it expanded around his house.

“No Erick!" Still the sound of his voice was nothing compared to the shockwave of the mild nueclar situation that was happening in his hand as car wheels were scarping against the ground and their transmission ruined, magnets flying out of street bulbs and crashing, the whole ground shaking.

And then it all stopped, landing on the ground and scrambling to his feet, Finn said nothing as he walked forward, it was over. The battle was over as quickly as it began and as the sun rose on Carson City, their he stood.

Erick was against the ground, burn marks against his body and completely dead and stone cold. And walking down the now charged stairs, Finn saw a bit of hope, Barry was contained and knocked out as well, and walking over to his friend he knew in his heart that it was time to say goodbye.

Reaching down he didn't feel a pulse in the neck and he knew that for Erick it was over, the battle was over. He had left victoriously and Erick had performed the ultimate sacrifice to save Barry, that was it and that was the fact of the situation, nothing would change that or make it feel better and standing still Finn bowed a bit in respect.

“Good-bye my friend, apologize to Joel for me and say hi to everyone." Finn spoke his goodbye and closed the eyes of the Komodo dragon, his eyebrows burnt and his scales tarnished. But looking over not all was lost, Barry stood there and he was trapped, if there was any hope Barry had it.

“Well then let's make sure this doesn't go to waste." And like that Finn walked over and intending to complete the mission for Erick.

And then the day was over, Finn fell into the bed as well as Isaac, somehow while troubleshooting and fixing Barry the day disappeared. But they ended up with somewhere, Barry could talk to them and didn't seem to be evil, which was a start, and the shark closed his eyes and sleep flowed over him.

Even with all that happened in Carson City, there was still and idea. And Erick carried it on that people were still good and Erick was a good man, he might not have respected privacy but he was a good man. And then a memory came over him in Finn's sleep, opening his eyes in the dream felt vivid, the colors and memory felt alive and there. They were in front of him and he could see it.

“Well then we get to his point and now I am dead. No reason in hiding so to say, you know it and I put this inside of you to awaken when I have gone. Consider this a little good-bye." Erick spoke inside of Finn's dream, the shark frozen in place as a captive audience. Erick smiled as his voice surrounded Finn's ears.

“Someone once told me that life was a picture painted on a canvas, and that death was like splitting it apart. I think that to still be true, but you all receive pieces of that canvas. And if you put them together well then it will be like I am still there." Erick spoke as in his hand a piece of paper appeared.

“But still I don't know how I died, I put this in all your brains a while ago, maybe you'll have forgotten me and in that case search out all the information you can on me and don't let my story be forgotten, don't let me skin into everything else as well. Don't let me be just another superhero." Erick said as he put his hands into his pocket and smiled.

“I don't know when you will get this but I hope my death was easy, don't cry as much over me. You'll miss me but put me back together and share stories. My life should be celebrated and I should write this down, don't worry Barry will have it, but all in all if you are getting this then I am truly dead." Erick said as he appeared in Finn's minds and walked towards the shark.

“But don't worry it doesn't mean anything, life is just a canvas always being painted and learn to let go, let me live on inside of you and I've seen so much death and they say a person is truest at that point, that's true, I just hope that my death lives up to that." Erick blushed a bit and shuffled his feet.

“I don't know if I am married or have a boyfriend but be nice to him and well in conclusion. Ha, in conclusion so grown up, what I am saying it's all crazy life and such and you can't predict it. But I guess that what I want to say is that sometimes memories live on inside of you but really with me I have one last thing for you don't be sad because it's over, be happy because it happened. Live by those words."
