"Read is a reflection of my fear of abandonment. It features an anthropomorphized Lyx clutching their phone as they relish in the bitter moment and internal conflict of fear and abandonment. The unique frame, spacious matte, and scratched pane reflect this isolation and turmoil. They are neither crying nor making a scene as it is a reference to the silent battles I face when left to my own devices. I express nothing but feel everything as I disconnect from reality and fester in my emotions."
