Well the honeymoon for Nicholas and Topaz was certainly a fun, romantic time. Upon arriving they ate and went to bed, as it had been a big day for them with the wedding. The real fun began the next day and while it was just to the beach nearby, it was a great way to start. Then after the dinner, the sex was some of the hottest they had as being married made it more steamy for the vulpine and vixen. It went on for hours before the two passed out. Even upon awaking, the wedded couple continued in the shower. Then it was onto doing the fun activities the country had to offer.
The time for the honeymoon seemed to fly back and soon Nicholas and Topaz were back home in California. Jade and Paul had begun to make plans for their wedding but the day of wouldn't happen for another couple months since the corsac fox wanted it to be perfect for the petite vixen. When talking with her, Jade really was happy to be settling down with Paul. As for Sapphire, Emerald, Kane, and James, they were exciting about becoming parents. The whole group stayed in contact by phone and saw each other when they could.
One day found Nicholas and Topaz in their bed with the sun shining. The two foxes were in t-shirts and underwear since they hadn't engaged in sex this time. Nicholas and Topaz sometimes needed a day off from it and didn't mind. The vulpine was the first to stir and rose before letting out a yawn. Looking to his left he found the beautiful vixen still asleep. He had noticed that the female was sleeping more as of late. But the male was able to put this thought to the back of his mind. Nicholas decided to play with her a little. He rolled out of bed and pulled the covers with him on purpose. Looking back he could see his wife was forced out of slumber as the warm blankets gave way to cold air.
“Honey…” Topaz mumbled. “I need those…”
“You’ll have to get them from me,” he responded in a teasing voice.
This caused her to snap awake, and grab him by the shoulders and pull Nicholas towards her, simultaneously twisting the male to his back as she leapt on her husband’s stomach. It caused the lupine to be pinned. Topaz had been taught on how to deal with bigger, and stronger opponents. And now she had the vulpine in her grip. There was little he could do except reach up and tickle her sides. The female shrieked, and pushed away from the male as he flipped his wife over and didn’t relent from his playful torture. This continued for a minute until he leaned to kiss her.
Topaz answered back and the couple stayed like that for a bit. He then pulled back. “I can’t help but love you,” he whispered.
“And I love you so much,” she cooed and kissed his cheek. The vixen then yawned again.
“Oh do you need some more sleep?” asked Nicholas. She nodded. “Are you feeling alright?”
“I’m like just tired is all,” answered Topaz. “I’m sure there are days when you’ve needed extra sleep.” The vulpine figured that had to be it after his wife said that. It had happened to him before.
“Well if you need anything I’ll be downstairs paying the bills. I love you.”
“I love you to.” The male watched the female pull the covers back up and settle back in bed. Shrugging, Nicholas got ready for the day. But it wasn’t until hours later that Topaz did decide to get up. The vixen made her way downstairs and found her husband on the sofa. He looked up to her as she entered.
“Get enough sleep?” asked the male. The female nodded. “I was wondering when you’d get up. It’s almost lunch time.” The soft smile on Topaz's muzzle suddenly fell at the mention of food. Her stomach seemed revolted at the thought of it. That was peculiar because she hadn’t had anything to eat since last night. The vixen should have been starving. But now Topaz couldn’t tell if she was so hungry that she felt sick or was going to throw up. Nicholas’s head turned to the direction of the kitchen. “I was thinking of making a pizza with mushrooms and onions. How’s that sound?”
Her answer was a chocking sound and the sound of running to the nearest bathroom. The male was right behind her. The vixen was found just throwing up in one of the bathroom sinks. He hovered over his wife while cringing at the sound. But soon it was over. Topaz slowly looked up to him after washing down the vomit. “Babe… do you need anything?”
“Yes… please like don’t mention food again for a long time,” she pleaded, not wanting to go through that again. Nicholas just nodded in response.
“Then… what can I make that you would like?”
“Oranges and a tomato sandwich.” The answer left both of them silenced. They had the things in the house but the female had never had a combination like that before in her life.
Nicholas however just went to the kitchen and made them for her. The vulpine watched Topaz closely to see if she was sick. But his wife acted normal. Well maybe not too normal. The female was wolfing down the food. “Honey, you’re going to choke if you don’t slow down.”
“I’m sorry,” the vixen responded. “It’s just I’m so hungry and this is like really good.”
“How? I just made it like usual.”
“I know… it’s just…” Her voice trailed off as she began to think. What her husband had said was true. This food shouldn’t be that good. And there was the fact she was getting more tired as of late and her breasts were getting more tender. And the vomiting this morning. Never in the time she’d been married to this vulpine had this happened. Suddenly Topaz froze as she realized something, the food halfway to her mouth. The sandwich dropped on her plate. The vixen began to count in her head. Once, twice, a third time.
"Honey?" Nicholas asked. The female didn't answered but held up a finger. She had been wrong about the days before. But then realized how late she was. All of this plus the other things that had been realized in Topaz's head came together in a gut feeling. One that told the vixen she was pregnant.
Topaz rose from the table, face blank so as to not show her husband yet. This was because the vixen had to know for sure even in her body she was trebling with excitement and nervousness. It was her first time like Nicholas had been her first for sex. The female saw him rise and shook her head. "I'll like be back. I need to make a call," she cooed sweetly. The vulpine was confused but sat back down, wondering what was going on with his wife.
The vixen got to the home phone and dialed her favorite doctor in the area. Nicholas liked her as well after being introduced to her by his wife. After discussing the symptoms with the other female, Topaz got an appointment the next day. Hanging up, the vixen thought of how to tell her husband. They hadn't talked about having kids or even plained on it. The two had only thought and talked about being married. Not even during their honeymoon had the thought of little vixens and vulpines of their own had crossed their minds. And now one would be coming. Topaz thought back to how they had interacted with Alexander and Victoria, even Rachel and her brother. She knew she had been great with them and remembered how Nicholas had been as well. She realized how the two could be great parents. That's when a vision hit Topaz; that of a tiny little vulpine who looked like her husband come into her head. The female smiled as she realized she was ready to be a mother; both physically and mentally.
The small part of her brain that was still rational told her to calm down. There was no point in getting excited about a baby if the female wasn't even pregnant. Topaz couldn't help but think of how the vulpine was going to react. Surprised for certain but hopefully happy. She returned to the table and finished her food smiling and happy, but not saying why to Nicholas who was still confused.
The next day the two arrived at the doctor's office. Nicholas couldn't help but wonder what he and his wife were doing here. The vixen wouldn't tell him what the reason for coming here. "Here, have a seat right there love," the female told him as she continued to the check in counter after the two had entered.
The vulpine watched his wife and the receptionist converse quietly before she returned to his side in a seat next to his. "Are you finally going to tell me why we're here?" he asked.
"No, not yet," she replied with a smile and her tone was a bit playful.
"Well… you'd at least tell me if it was something very serious or life threatening, wouldn't you?"
"Of course I so would. It's nothing like that. I promise you."
"Okay," Nicholas replied, relief in his voice.
A couple minutes latter Topaz was called into the back. She got up and took her husband's paws into her own. "Hey, it'll be so fine. You'll see," the female cooed and walked away.
Nicholas was left there to think what it could possibly be. The guy couldn't think of anything and wondered if maybe it was something minor and Topaz was checking on it just to be safe. His thoughts were interrupted after some minutes and was called to the back by the female doctor that his wife had called. The two went to the room to find the vixen waiting for them. "So are you finally going to tell me now?" Nicholas asked her.
Their eyes locked and he saw that Topaz had almost joy in her eyes and a smile that was becoming larger as she looked at her husband. "I'm sorry honey," the female replied after rising up and taking his paws into hers again. "I'm so sorry… but I wanted to make sure before I told you."
"Tell me what? What are you talking about?"
Topaz paused for a moment and then answered. "I'm pregnant!"
Those two words instantly had a change in Nicholas who froze with shock. It was his whole world changing at that moment. He couldn't speak as the vulpine's mind went into hyper drive, replaying the past weeks. Looking back he realized just how tired she had begun to be, as well as the vomiting yesterday. It all fit together like a puzzle. "A baby…" he muttered. "How did I miss it?"
"I'm left to wonder as well," the female doctor commented with a smile.
The vulpine turned back to his wife who was looking at him with a worried look. This was taking way longer than she thought it would have. Was Nicholas actually scared or something? "Nicholas…" Topaz whispered. "Are you like okay?"
"No…" he answered and then got a big grin on his face. The news was making the feeling his wife had imagined to come out in a rush. "I'm more than that; I'm thrilled and so happy for us… I'm going to be a father!"
"I'm going to be a mother!" Topaz stated getting closer to her husband.
"A father!" the vulpine repeated.
"I'm going to be a mother!" the vixen exclaimed and the wedded couple hugged each other with a laugh. After a couple of minutes they turned to the doctor who gave them the due date of when the baby would be due, or roughly when it would be, and when a prenatal screening should be done. The two foxes left the doctor's happy as could be.
A few days latter found the two heading back to her parent’s house. Linden and Vincent would be coming as well. They decided to let the family know first before telling everyone else. "Let me just remind you how much my mother is going to cry for joy," Topaz told her husband as they got closer in their car.
"I know honey," he told his wife. "I'm not worried about your mother, I'm worried about your father. I still don't think he's that thrilled about our relationship."
"Daddy will be happy about a grandchild no matter how much he may dislike you." The two made it and Nicholas got out. He opened the door for Topaz and offered his paw. She giggled and took it with the grace of a princess. The two, holding paws made it to the front door and the female ran the doorbell. Madison answered it once again.
"Oh there you two are," the mother vixen whispered and hugged them both. "Well come on in." The three walked to the living room. In the living room Linden and Vincent were here already and sitting on the couch. Jacob was standing up and raised his head when the newcomers walked in. He held out his arms toTopaz for a hug and she went right over.
"Hey there," he whispered. "Still looking beautiful."
"Oh daddy," the vixen laughed again like the first time when coming over to tell about Nicholas.
The vulpine father then looked to vulpine and struggled to reply. "Hello… Nicholas."
The vulpine just nodded figuring he couldn't appease his wife's father. He and his wife took a seat. "So, why have you gathered us here?" Vincent asked.
"Well…" Topaz began and looked down before back up again, smiling. "It's like something that me and Nicholas so need to tell you."
"Tell us what?" Madison asked and one of her eyebrows went up along with Linden's.
"This had better not be anything bad since I told you to take care of her," Jacob growled, glaring daggers at Nicholas. The younger male glared right back, not backing down an inch. “She deserves that much even from you.”
"It's not," the longhaired vulpine stated. "And not to step out of line here sir, but considering how happy I make your daughter, I have more than enough right to be married to her."
"When you have a daughter of your own, you'll learn that no male is worthy of her."
Topaz just giggled and clapped her paws together, causing all to look at her. "Actually… it's like funny you mention that daddy because… Nicholas and I are going to be parents."
The silence that followed was so deep a pin could be heard dropping. Madison and Linden looked at their married child in shock. "Parents…?" the first vixen asked.
"You mean…?" the other whispered.
"Yes, that's why we gathered you all here to tell you in person," Nicholas stated with a grin and wrapped one arm around his wife.
"OH MY GOD!" Madison shouted and jumped up with a happy yell as did Linden.
"My son's having a kid!" Vincent stated, hugging his wife.
Jacob was the only one who had stayed silent in disbelief, having only been silenced like this once before when he found out he was going to be a father for the very first time. He walked passed his wife who was crying with tears of happiness and hugged Topaz again. He pulled back looking at her with pride. "My little girl… is all grown up," the vulpine whispered.
"Daddy, I like have been grown up," Topaz replied with a smile. "You just haven't accepted it."
The father vulpine turned to his wife to hug her. "I'm going to be a grandfather!" Paul cried.
Sometime latter the wedded couple left the house. "Well that went better than I thought," Nicholas said to Topaz. "I think your dad's finally accepting of me."
"I told you he'd be happy," the vixen commented. "Besides all he's wanted if for me to be happy and I've been that with you. No matter what has happened."
"Now then… about our friends…"
Well the rest of the Canines and Vixens were happy for these two to be certain. So was Nicholas's brother when he learned the news. Of course Sapphire and Emerald's kid would be coming first so that meant a trip to where they were as it was only fair to them. Topaz didn't mind in the least. After all these vixen would be doing the same when his and her child was born. Sapphire went into labor first since she was further along than Emerald. The child that came out was white since both her and Kane had white fur. But looking showed the child had her eyes and was a girl. She was a beautiful female and Shale, her grandfather, was happy to meet her. Emerald then went into labor a couple months after this but this time it was a boy who had a lot of James's features.
Then it became the nine month mark for Nicholas and Topaz. Right now it found the vixen in the nursery that was ready for her son. The crib and cabinet to hold the baby and things were ready. She was stroking her huge belly, humming happily. During the sixth month she had done the same thing and had never felt so womanly in that moment. Nicholas then came in and hugged his wife from behind. "Hey you two," he whispered.
"Hey there love," Topaz cooed. He then went down and placed his head on her belly, listening to their child. They still didn't know what the gender was. Suddenly she felt the baby kick her and gasped while the vulpine felt the sharp poke on the side of his head.
"I think our little one just kicked," Nicholas laughed.
"He did," the female stated with a laugh. They really were looking forward to being parents.

"Daddy, I like have been grown up," Topaz replied with a smile. "You just haven't accepted it."
The father vulpine turned to his wife to hug her. "I'm going to be a grandfather!" Paul cried.
Sometime latter the wedded couple left the house. "Well that went better than I thought," Nicholas said to Topaz. "I think your dad's finally accepting of me."
"I told you he'd be happy," the vixen commented. "Besides all he's wanted if for me to be happy and I've been that with you. No matter what has happened."
"Now then… about our friends…"
Well the rest of the Canines and Vixens were happy for these two to be certain. So was Nicholas's brother when he learned the news. Of course Sapphire and Emerald's kid would be coming first so that meant a trip to where they were as it was only fair to them. Topaz didn't mind in the least. After all these vixen would be doing the same when his and her child was born. Sapphire went into labor first since she was further along than Emerald. The child that came out was white since both her and Kane had white fur. But looking showed the child had her eyes and was a girl. She was a beautiful female and Shale, her grandfather, was happy to meet her. Emerald then went into labor a couple months after this but this time it was a boy who had a lot of James's features.
Then it became the nine month mark for Nicholas and Topaz. Right now it found the vixen in the nursery that was ready for her son. The crib and cabinet to hold the baby and things were ready. She was stroking her huge belly, humming happily. During the sixth month she had done the same thing and had never felt so womanly in that moment. Nicholas then came in and hugged his wife from behind. "Hey you two," he whispered.
"Hey there love," Topaz cooed. He then went down and placed his head on her belly, listening to their child. They still didn't know what the gender was. Suddenly she felt the baby kick her and gasped while the vulpine felt the sharp poke on the side of his head.
"I think our little one just kicked," Nicholas laughed.
"He did," the female stated with a laugh. They really were looking forward to being parents.
