Back with Topaz and Nicholas, these are merely side stories during the year after saving the world. I certainly had fun with them. How I found out about Topaz's parents was by her creator.

Jewel Vixens Extra One: Meeting the Parents
It was now January and 1974. Nicholas had been thinking one thing in particular over. And it seemed now would be a good time to do it since nothing else was really going on. And the longer the vulpine put this off, the more likely he wouldn't got through it. And that was finally meeting Topaz's parents. Especially her old man. After hearing his girlfriend call him daddy, Nicholas knew without a doubt that her old man would be very protective of his daughter.
"You okay honey?" asked a voice. Nicholas looked to see Topaz looking at him with worry.
"Yeah," he answered. "I was thinking… it's time I met your parents." The vixen then got it.
"You like think so?"
"The longer I keep putting this off, the more likely I won't want to go through with it. Especially with dealing with your father."
The vixen kissed his cheek in reassurance. "Daddy can't fully control me. I've grown up after all. No matter what he says I still want to be with you. And also because after all that has happened, I can't be with anyone but you." The female raised her right wrist up. Dangling from it was a bracelet. Attached to it was half of a heart made of shiny yellow metal. There were two orange red topaz gems on it. The vixen then touched this to the one her boyfriend had on his left wrist. Half of a heart that fit into hers, but one made out of shiny black metal that had two emeralds on it. These were the Christmas gifts the vulpine had gotten for him and his girlfriend. She could still remember the moment she got hers.
"Here babe, Merry Christmas," Nicholas stated with the others in the room watching. In his right paw was a small square box.
"Oh you shouldn't have honey," Topaz cooed and unwrapped it to see the bracelets. Her eyes widened in shock.
"Do you like it?" he asked. "One if for you, the other is for me." The next thing everyone knew the vixen had tackled him in a bone crushing hug, smothering her boyfriend with kisses.
"Oh my god, I love it!" the male's girlfriend cried. And knew why there were two. Because she was Nicholas's other half. And he was hers. These things were very durable and could be worn during the missions.
Back in the present Topaz touched both halves together. "I so know why you got us these darling. Nicholas I love you deeply. You're my other half."
"And you are mine. I can't imagine my life without you," he stated and kissed the female's head, causing her to giggle. "Maybe I'm just worrying too much. Well you'd better let your folks know you're coming home."
So the vixen made the call and set up a meeting time at her house during the weekend. She wouldn't say what the reason was other than there was someone she wanted them to meet. The vulpine in the meantime got a briefcase and filled it with a few things; mainly pics of the modeling Topaz had done and then the ones that she had down with him. Nothing too sexual or romantic since these would be shown to her dad. Then the day came and both foxes had their bracelets on. This time Nicholas was driving them in his car.
It wasn't that far of a drive and Nicholas could see that it was in a high-class community. But this wasn't intimidating yet. That is until the car rounded a corner and went down a road for five minutes and came across a huge house. There was a lot of property surrounding it to make a huge back yard that extended out to the surrounding area. There were trees and green grass plus a good size garden. The vulpine's jaw dropped. "Holy crap…" he mumbled.
"Yeah… maybe I like should've warned you a bit," his girlfriend muttered.
"I knew your parents were wealthy, but I didn't expect something like this," Nicholas stated. "So let me just ask how wealthy are we talking here?"
"I know to the point of not having to worry about property values or car payments."
"That'll do it." The car continued and eventually made it to the driveway before parking near the front door. Nicholas tried to relax his ever tense muscles.
"Hey, it'll go so fine," his girlfriend whispered. Her boyfriend looked deep into those golden colored eyes. Topaz must have sensed how nervous the vulpine was. "I know my mom will like you at least."
"Well maybe just a kiss for luck." The vixen giggled before the two did so. Both foxes got out of the car with the male holding the briefcase. They went up to the front door and the female rang the doorbell. A few moments latter it was answered by a vixen who was older. One who was orange like the vulpine, but the tips of the ears and forearms were black. The hair was red and the same golden colored eyes Nicholas how come to love on Topaz was on this female. As well both of them were wearing the same aqua blue shirt and the same type of body. The only difference was that his girlfriend was taller than the new vixen. This had to be her mother.
"Hey mom," stated the daughter with a grin.
"Topaz!" replied the mom vixen with a smile like the younger vixen and the two hugged. "Oh my god, look at you. Honey you've grown so much sine we last saw you."
"Well maybe not like physically." The older vixen then looked and saw Nicholas who looked on this scene with a smile.
"Oh mom, this is the one I'd say I was brining. This is Nicholas."
"Hello there," the vulpine responded. "It's nice to meet you at last. You must be Madison; her mother."
"Yes. And don't worry you can call me that if you want to," said the older vixen, smiling as she saw her daughter look at the male with love in her eyes. "Well you may as well come in. I'm sure we have a lot to talk about."
The three went in and Nicholas could see the inside of the house was just as nice as the outside. He wondered if maybe Topaz in the future would like to live in something like this with him. For now it could only be a thought. The walk took them to the living room, but he hung back. The younger vixen noticed. "Honey, is everything alright?" she whispered.
"I want to get a good look at him first before entering," he answered back. Nicholas waited but peeked into the area. It was comfortable and gorgeous looking. A male vulpine that was the same height as Topaz was waiting. Their fur color and hair were the same, the only difference was the blue eyes he had. This had to be Jacob, her father. His eyes lit up and brought the younger female in to hug.
"Hey there baby girl. You're looking beautiful," he stated.
"Oh daddy," Topaz responded with a laugh as she returned the hug. Both then pulled back.
"It's so glad to see you again after being gone for two years. Although didn't you say that you had someone you wanted us to meet?"
"I did." That was the cue for her boyfriend to come out around the corner. Nicholas with the briefcase in his paw did so, standing tall, strong, and proud. Despite the fact he was an inch shorter than his girlfriend and Jacob. The younger vulpine stopped a couple of feet away.
"Hello there sir, it's nice to meet you." Topaz went over to his side. "I'm glad we could meet at last."
"And who are you?" asked Jacob, already thinking the worst case scenario when it came to his daughter.
"Well sir I think your wife has guessed it, but I came to meet you two because… I'm Topaz's boyfriend." The silence that followed for the next couple of seconds was deafening. Madison then let out a happy shout.
"Oh Topaz, that's wonderful! You didn't tell us this!" Jacob in the meantime was on red alert in his mind and glared daggers at the younger vulpine while a frown came on his muzzle. But Nicholas didn't quiver under this.
"Well it's only been like several months," Topaz responded. "But we figured now was a good time to visit."
"I'm sure you'll want to hear about it," commented Nicholas. "Is there a table to sit at?"
"Sure, follow me," Madison answer and the four went to the dinning room. But Jacob's mind was racing.
"I know what you're doing here Nicholas," he thought with a growl. "You don't think I don't know what you're up to, but I do you little punk! You're not good enough for Topaz! Nobody is! Don't think you can steal anything but especially my daughter!"
The four made it and sat down with the younger foxes sitting across from Jacob and Madison on his right. Although the other male could see the two sets of paws of Nicholas and Topaz, he couldn't see their left and right foot which were touching the other. The older male immediately went to intimidate mode, but it didn't phase Nicholas. "So Topaz honey, maybe you can start with what's been happening to you before meeting Nicholas," said Madison.
"Oh!" went her daughter. "Well…" She knew that she couldn't reveal all, but some of it would be fine. "I've like been living still here. With seven other vixens in a big mansion. They're also models like me. So that's been fun."
"Really?" asked Jacob, forgetting Nicholas for a moment. "Who are they?"
"They're Emerald, Jade, Ruby, Amethyst, Onyx, Aquamarine, and Sapphire."
"Wait Sapphire?" asked the mother vixen. "You don't mean the one that's been on the Tonight's Show and in Time Magazine?"
"The very one," Topaz answered. "She's like been a good role model. As is Onyx who's like the mother figure since she's the oldest."
"Well you're lucky to know her. And the others from the sound of it," commented Jacob.
"I think so. We've been to a few places such as New York and Japan for modeling work. It's been such a blast."
"Oh then what about Nicholas?" asked Madison. "How did you meet him?" The older vixen had the same enthusiasm as another teen. The older vulpine on the other hand went back to his glaring at Nicholas.
"Well we met after she came back from New York," stated the long haired male. "She and the others happened to be at a beach that I was at. I was playing a game of volleyball, and missed when the ball came to me. And almost got Topaz. Luckily she wasn't hurt."
"And you didn't miss on purpose?" asked Jacob with a slight growl.
"Dear!" Madison stated.
"The guy serving put a little too much into it. But as for it happening… I don't know what you believe in sir. Topaz has never stated anything like religion. But looking at the cross I'm wearing I think you can guess what I believe in. I believe there is something more out there. It could be due to fate or the hand of god. Which ever one it is I believe me and Topaz were meant to meet and date."
Before the older vulpine could speak, the younger one continued. "We kept meeting and went out on what could be looked at as dates before I meet the rest of her friends. Then she met mine including the rest of the vixens. Seven others like with her; Stanley, Granite, Desmond Claw, James Turnabout, Bill Ramiez, Kane Howl, and Paul Outback."
"Wait, you mean the white lupine who's also been on the Tonight Show like Sapphire?" asked Madison.
"The very one," Nicholas answered. "It was going to happen since two of them are in a relationship with two of the other vixens. Onyx for example is married to Granite, and they have two of the cutest kits. And then Stanley and Ruby who were engaged are now married. They've just come back from their honeymoon. As for the others it took awhile but they've also hooked up with somebody."
"That sounds wonderful," said Madison. "So what happened next?"
"Basically we went to different places to model with the vixens. We've been to Utah, Las Vegas, Egypt, China, and England so far. Here; this is the first one me and Topaz did for this advertisement for cologne." He pulled oout the picture and the parents could see how lovely and cute both younger foxes were.
"Oh that's so cute," Madison cooed. Jacob just glared even more at Nicholas.
"Look, they told us to strike that pose," stated the long haired vulpine. "It was beyond my control." The older male didn't looked convinced. "Well at least the time in Vegas and the others were fun." Nicholas then showed the pics that had been taken there, including the one where he and Topaz had gotten that trophy plus the last modeling pic. The ones from Egypt and China weren't shown because the younger vixen's boyfriend thought they were either too sexy or romantic. "As for us becoming a couple, we hooked up before Halloween. Right after getting back from Egypt."
"Well all of it sounds wonderful," Madison said with a smile. Jacob decided it was time to engage.
"So tell us Nicholas, what do you like to do… for fun?" He emphasized the word. Without missing a beat the older male got an answer.
"Well besides the modeling I do like to swim, dance, and do art. And of course making Topaz here the happiest vixen in the world." She giggled.
"I think you've like got that covered," the female stated.
"More so since I did have to save her once from four other guys." Jacob's ears twitched.
"What did you say?" he asked.
"I'm saying one time before going to Utah I had to stop four guys from picking up Topaz. I got a little rough and they took off." Nobody spoke after that. A clock then sounded, showing it was lunch time.
"I think we should get something inside ourselves," said Madison who stood up. "Nicholas, do you think you could come with me?" The younger male got her drift and left Topaz and her father in the dinning room. He immediately turned to her as soon as the other two were out of ear shot.
"Topaz, I really need to talk to you about this… boyfriend you have." It was hard for him to get that word out.
"Daddy, I'm not a little kit anymore," she responded. The vixen had been prepared for a talk like this. "I love him and he loves me."
"I can still give my opinion on this." The father vulpine's eyes softened. "Topaz you're my only little girl. And I worry about you."
"There is like nothing to worry about Nicholas. He's a good guy. And all I need."
"And that's what those bracelets you two are wearing show?" This made his daughter catch her breath. "Did you think I wouldn't notice? I can tell by those that this is serious. None of your past boyfriends have given you something like that. Especially not within three months of dating."
Topaz made no response. "Then tell me this. How much do you love him?"
"Deeply," the vixen answered right away and firmly. "He's like my other half and knowns me well. I can't be without him."
Jacob rubbed his temples. "I was hopping that wasn't the case, but it seems like it is." He then paused. "Then in that case… Topaz, when your in a relationship like that and you get the urge to-"
"Aw daddy!" the younger fox stated and went red. "Don't like tell me you're going to have a sex talk with me!"
"I'm your father and have a responsibility to do so."
"You and mom did so when I turned 13 and then at 15," said Topaz. "End of story."
"And you didn't have a serious boyfriend like this at that time," commented Jacob.
"Daddy, I'm not in a hurry with Nicholas. I'm… I'm a virgin and so plain to keep it that way."
Jacob began to breath easier. "Okay. I had to get that off my chest," he stated. "And also to say that at least be careful."
"I will Daddy. Although just be prepared that someday I may marry Nicholas. I can like see it and he can."
"We'll see about that," the older vulpine responded. "A shame you're not dating Kane."
"Daddy, that's not possible. Same for the other guys. For one thing, he's like older than me. And there's the fact he's loved Sapphire for so long. And the others wouldn't work out for other reasons. Nicholas is the only one that's perfect."
Meanwhile in the kitchen Madison was preparing lunch but Nicholas stood back since the mother vixen told him she just wanted to talk. "Now I can see where Topaz got her cooking skills from," said the vulpine with a grin.
"Well I did my best to teach her. So she could take care of a house and a good male in the future."
"Well I think I can help with that. Since I did protect her. And the fact since I've had to live with seven other guys we've had to learn how to cook and things like that." Madison giggled.
"Yes, well thank you for protecting her," she stated. "I'm really glad you two are dating Nicholas."
"I bet you've said that to all her past boyfriends."
"No, I can tell you're different from them. Those were the typical school ones. But I saw by the way you look at each other and those bracelets you have it's serious."
"Well… you're right," Nicholas replied. "It's gotten to the point I can't imagine my life without Topaz. She's like my other half that I know so well and love so much. That's what those bracelets represent. I got them during Christmas."
"I think it's very romantic."
"That's one thing I've come to learn about Topaz. She loves that kind of stuff. That vixen is like a flower that's meant to be loved. A beautiful, but strong one."
"Yes, that's true about her," Madison agreed. "So if you don't mind me asking… your friends that married. When do you think it will happen for you and Topaz?"
Nicholas didn't speak for a few moments before answering. "We can both see it and having some kits. But now's not the time for that. For now what we have is good. When the time comes for taking our relationship to the next level by moving in, marrying, or whatever; it will be right."
Not too much latter the four were eating and still talking. When that was over the younger foxes left her house. "Well that seemed to go smoothly," Nicholas commented. "Although I don't think your father was please by me. He didn't give you a hard time, did he babe?"
"He like said some things sweetie," she responded. "But daddy will have to so live with us being together."
"Well I think your mom likes me at least." They got in the car and then drove back to their house.

Now the time came to meet the vulpine's parents. Unlike Topaz's they lived in a different area, but one that could be driven easily. This time all the things that had been taken would be shown. The younger foxes made it and got out of the car. A call had been made beforehand. Nicholas rang the doorbell and it was answered by a red furred vulpine with blue eyes, and an orange furred vixen with green eyes and the same color of hair as the younger male.
"Hey mom and dad," said Nicholas with a grin. Both older ones hugged him.
"Welcome back," stated the father vulpine who had to be Vincent.
"It's so good to see you again," commented the mother vixen who had to be Linden. They then noticed Topaz. Their son looked to the younger vixen with love.
"Mom, dad, this is Topaz. Someone I've wanted you to meet."
"Hello," she responded. Both older foxes got smiles on their muzzles. Everyone went to the living room. The younger couple sat on the couch while the other two went to regular chairs. Much that had been talked about before took place. The only difference besides showing everything was the fact the bracelets weren't worn. Only because they wouldn't be needed to prove the love Topaz and Nicholas had for each other.
This visit also went good. And when the younger foxes got back to their house, they went in, holding onto the other. "I like your parents," said Topaz. "They're so nice."
"I think they like you as well," commented Nicholas. They stopped by the door to the vixen's bed room. "Well, you'd better get some sleep for tomorrow."
"You as well. I love you."
"I love you to." The two shared a loving kiss before heading to bed. But the things that would follow next would bring this couple even closer.

Before the older vulpine could speak, the younger one continued. "We kept meeting and went out on what could be looked at as dates before I meet the rest of her friends. Then she met mine including the rest of the vixens. Seven others like with her; Stanley, Granite, Desmond Claw, James Turnabout, Bill Ramiez, Kane Howl, and Paul Outback."
"Wait, you mean the white lupine who's also been on the Tonight Show like Sapphire?" asked Madison.
"The very one," Nicholas answered. "It was going to happen since two of them are in a relationship with two of the other vixens. Onyx for example is married to Granite, and they have two of the cutest kits. And then Stanley and Ruby who were engaged are now married. They've just come back from their honeymoon. As for the others it took awhile but they've also hooked up with somebody."
"That sounds wonderful," said Madison. "So what happened next?"
"Basically we went to different places to model with the vixens. We've been to Utah, Las Vegas, Egypt, China, and England so far. Here; this is the first one me and Topaz did for this advertisement for cologne." He pulled oout the picture and the parents could see how lovely and cute both younger foxes were.
"Oh that's so cute," Madison cooed. Jacob just glared even more at Nicholas.
"Look, they told us to strike that pose," stated the long haired vulpine. "It was beyond my control." The older male didn't looked convinced. "Well at least the time in Vegas and the others were fun." Nicholas then showed the pics that had been taken there, including the one where he and Topaz had gotten that trophy plus the last modeling pic. The ones from Egypt and China weren't shown because the younger vixen's boyfriend thought they were either too sexy or romantic. "As for us becoming a couple, we hooked up before Halloween. Right after getting back from Egypt."
"Well all of it sounds wonderful," Madison said with a smile. Jacob decided it was time to engage.
"So tell us Nicholas, what do you like to do… for fun?" He emphasized the word. Without missing a beat the older male got an answer.
"Well besides the modeling I do like to swim, dance, and do art. And of course making Topaz here the happiest vixen in the world." She giggled.
"I think you've like got that covered," the female stated.
"More so since I did have to save her once from four other guys." Jacob's ears twitched.
"What did you say?" he asked.
"I'm saying one time before going to Utah I had to stop four guys from picking up Topaz. I got a little rough and they took off." Nobody spoke after that. A clock then sounded, showing it was lunch time.
"I think we should get something inside ourselves," said Madison who stood up. "Nicholas, do you think you could come with me?" The younger male got her drift and left Topaz and her father in the dinning room. He immediately turned to her as soon as the other two were out of ear shot.
"Topaz, I really need to talk to you about this… boyfriend you have." It was hard for him to get that word out.
"Daddy, I'm not a little kit anymore," she responded. The vixen had been prepared for a talk like this. "I love him and he loves me."
"I can still give my opinion on this." The father vulpine's eyes softened. "Topaz you're my only little girl. And I worry about you."
"There is like nothing to worry about Nicholas. He's a good guy. And all I need."
"And that's what those bracelets you two are wearing show?" This made his daughter catch her breath. "Did you think I wouldn't notice? I can tell by those that this is serious. None of your past boyfriends have given you something like that. Especially not within three months of dating."
Topaz made no response. "Then tell me this. How much do you love him?"
"Deeply," the vixen answered right away and firmly. "He's like my other half and knowns me well. I can't be without him."
Jacob rubbed his temples. "I was hopping that wasn't the case, but it seems like it is." He then paused. "Then in that case… Topaz, when your in a relationship like that and you get the urge to-"
"Aw daddy!" the younger fox stated and went red. "Don't like tell me you're going to have a sex talk with me!"
"I'm your father and have a responsibility to do so."
"You and mom did so when I turned 13 and then at 15," said Topaz. "End of story."
"And you didn't have a serious boyfriend like this at that time," commented Jacob.
"Daddy, I'm not in a hurry with Nicholas. I'm… I'm a virgin and so plain to keep it that way."
Jacob began to breath easier. "Okay. I had to get that off my chest," he stated. "And also to say that at least be careful."
"I will Daddy. Although just be prepared that someday I may marry Nicholas. I can like see it and he can."
"We'll see about that," the older vulpine responded. "A shame you're not dating Kane."
"Daddy, that's not possible. Same for the other guys. For one thing, he's like older than me. And there's the fact he's loved Sapphire for so long. And the others wouldn't work out for other reasons. Nicholas is the only one that's perfect."
Meanwhile in the kitchen Madison was preparing lunch but Nicholas stood back since the mother vixen told him she just wanted to talk. "Now I can see where Topaz got her cooking skills from," said the vulpine with a grin.
"Well I did my best to teach her. So she could take care of a house and a good male in the future."
"Well I think I can help with that. Since I did protect her. And the fact since I've had to live with seven other guys we've had to learn how to cook and things like that." Madison giggled.
"Yes, well thank you for protecting her," she stated. "I'm really glad you two are dating Nicholas."
"I bet you've said that to all her past boyfriends."
"No, I can tell you're different from them. Those were the typical school ones. But I saw by the way you look at each other and those bracelets you have it's serious."
"Well… you're right," Nicholas replied. "It's gotten to the point I can't imagine my life without Topaz. She's like my other half that I know so well and love so much. That's what those bracelets represent. I got them during Christmas."
"I think it's very romantic."
"That's one thing I've come to learn about Topaz. She loves that kind of stuff. That vixen is like a flower that's meant to be loved. A beautiful, but strong one."
"Yes, that's true about her," Madison agreed. "So if you don't mind me asking… your friends that married. When do you think it will happen for you and Topaz?"
Nicholas didn't speak for a few moments before answering. "We can both see it and having some kits. But now's not the time for that. For now what we have is good. When the time comes for taking our relationship to the next level by moving in, marrying, or whatever; it will be right."
Not too much latter the four were eating and still talking. When that was over the younger foxes left her house. "Well that seemed to go smoothly," Nicholas commented. "Although I don't think your father was please by me. He didn't give you a hard time, did he babe?"
"He like said some things sweetie," she responded. "But daddy will have to so live with us being together."
"Well I think your mom likes me at least." They got in the car and then drove back to their house.

Now the time came to meet the vulpine's parents. Unlike Topaz's they lived in a different area, but one that could be driven easily. This time all the things that had been taken would be shown. The younger foxes made it and got out of the car. A call had been made beforehand. Nicholas rang the doorbell and it was answered by a red furred vulpine with blue eyes, and an orange furred vixen with green eyes and the same color of hair as the younger male.
"Hey mom and dad," said Nicholas with a grin. Both older ones hugged him.
"Welcome back," stated the father vulpine who had to be Vincent.
"It's so good to see you again," commented the mother vixen who had to be Linden. They then noticed Topaz. Their son looked to the younger vixen with love.
"Mom, dad, this is Topaz. Someone I've wanted you to meet."
"Hello," she responded. Both older foxes got smiles on their muzzles. Everyone went to the living room. The younger couple sat on the couch while the other two went to regular chairs. Much that had been talked about before took place. The only difference besides showing everything was the fact the bracelets weren't worn. Only because they wouldn't be needed to prove the love Topaz and Nicholas had for each other.
This visit also went good. And when the younger foxes got back to their house, they went in, holding onto the other. "I like your parents," said Topaz. "They're so nice."
"I think they like you as well," commented Nicholas. They stopped by the door to the vixen's bed room. "Well, you'd better get some sleep for tomorrow."
"You as well. I love you."
"I love you to." The two shared a loving kiss before heading to bed. But the things that would follow next would bring this couple even closer.
