Cucumber Sandwiches
A bit of a story behind this one.
When PG passed away, I wanted more than anything to do a tribute piece to him, but it was just too depressing. I decided I was going to do the cheeriest, happiest, cutest, most adorable pic I could think of. Of course, My Little Pony immediately popped into mind, but I HAD to do Discord because he was my favorite. What could be cuter than Discord having a tea party with Fluttershy - and all the Mane 6 pets to boot - having their tea party with cucumber sandwiches that they talked about in the last episode of Season 4? And lets do it in the style of a children's book, too!
So this picture was started. I began it ten days after losing PG, and have been working on it a little bit practically every day ever since. 80 days to finish it. It's seen me through depression, manic hysteria, medication changes, two conventions, and rediscovering myself after losing my life mate. So for me, this is more than just a pony pic, it was a journey.
