Actually, since the truck hit HIM, it could be seen as attempted vehicular manslaughter, so he could very well be in the clear, as he could very easily state that the truck tried to run him down and hit something else instead. After all, I don't see anyone else in frame, and I doubt that the frightened ice cream man will act as a witness against a dino who just stopped a multi ton vehicle with his body, and what with the ice cream itself and the caption, his kids definitely won't say anything against him. Even if they whipped for prints or DNA, he can say he stopped the Ice Cream truck before it hit his kids. Not to mention that it would be more than difficult to apprehend and keep him IN jail if he didn't want to go. It'd be more trouble than it's worth.
