Some more City of Heroes stuff. There was this magic using enemy group called the Circle of Thorns, and they had several elemental themed magic users. Fire Thorn Casters, Ice Thorn Casters, etc. This ostentatious looking fellow to the right, here, is an Earth Thorn Caster. They have the obnoxious ability to turn patches of the ground into quicksand. In-game, this translated to a 'slow' effect on your character as long as you were in the patch area.

But I always thought it'd be cool if you actually sank. Admittedly, that would be terribly inconvenient when the spell wore off, unless your character had super strength, or something.

Anyway, I decided to draw Gift of Flame falling afoul of an Earth Thorn Caster. Unfortunately for the Earth Thorn Caster, Gift of Flame is still quite capable of setting him on fire at range, so making her sink won't save him.

Normally, I'd add some sort of 'remind me never to draw a Circle of Thorns guy again', but since City of Heroes got canceled, there wasn't much danger of that.
