Breaking the Raid: SHO-down
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
She had gone to visit her partner at work, bringing their daughter in to see him. It was supposed to be a fun day before heading to their new apartment. Instead she was running as a car had unfolded and blew her car up! They had remained unseen for a while, trying to make it to the trees nearby for shelter, and to be away from the facility. She could only hope that Stephan was safe.
“Human meat-sack!” A visored eye robot swung a weapon into alignment, having noticed them. Its aim was not calibrated to a small creature, its shot went wide as Jane picked her daughter up and ran. She just moved, not really thinking just going by instinct more than anything else. Tripping she could do nothing more but try to shield Katie.
Roaring engines and heavy thuds preceding the sound of enters cracking long metal followed by a deep staccato of what could only be described as a gun strait out of sci-fi. Jane looked up, a gleaming red robot with a vaguely canine head was blasting holes in the sinister bot that had tried to kill her moments before. SHO-down hammered the vehicon with her plasma rifle, tearing him in half from left shoulder to right hip, taking the shots meant for the poor human who was his target. A sport utility truck and mall hatch-back racing up. The smaller vehicle opening up into another similar machine as the red one, “Are you injured, human?” SHO-down turned and began blasting another con, “Crossfire, get the human to safety, Mech-hammer, get to the energon cubes! I don’t want them making anymore or getting away with them!” “On it!” Mech-hammer converted out of her FJ-cruiser alt-mode and swung her massive wrecking hammer into the chin of a vehicon.
Jane looked up in awe and confusion. The red one took another hit to the leg, it… it was shielding her! Another one suddenly towered over her, its somewhat vulpine face smiling gently down on her, a visor on top of its head giving the appearance of a nurse’s hat from the early 1900’s. “You appear fine, save for a few scrapes. Will you get in so I can take you away from here?”
Jane could only nod, she had no clue what was happening, but she owed these strange machines her life.
I’ve had this in my pics folder a while now, not sure why I didn’t upload it yet…
