As much as one person can wound, so too can another do as much to heal. There is one such person in my life, who moreso than perhaps many others, has held that distinction. You all may know him as Myrmidon, but I know him as Cinder, my firedog. He is the one who has graced my front page on FA for 3 years, and been in my heart for longer. He is directly responsible for there being any music on my page at all now, having been the reason I did not pull all of my music down many moons ago when I once was ready to call it quits.

Through every axis of my life, this quiet, beautiful man has been there. Had I not been mated at the time I surely would've ended up with him, or at least tried. And to an extent, we behave like we are anyways. We've seen just about everything there is to see in each others lives, online and off. Cinder gives to me a level of catharsis such that I could never write enough music to show exactly what he does for me, and what I hope I do for him.

I think, despite me being a water based horse and him being a fire based dog... we resonate so very strongly together. This piece is inspired in some part by "Interrupted by Fireworks", from FF7. It sounds different, but it just has that kind of feel... Cinder and I, out by the lake, watching the July 4th display, pressed close together and sharing the warmth of our lives with each other.

It is a beautiful, serene image. Even in the trials of sadness we face, we will eternally have each other to fall back on, no matter what happens.

If my last song was of pain, sorrow, suffering, and anger, then let this song be full of joy, passion, happiness, and most of all, true love that surpasses all boundaries.
