well done. the eyes aren't really in the right place, like the back one would be distorted more from the curvature of his head. as it is, his face looks a bit flat. I like the sketch quality of the lines. it gives it more of an interesting texture while still being true to the subject. I would work on hair (on top of his head i mean). the hair just looks like lines as it is, and it looks a bit silly. I like how you did the fur though. like how you used the liquefy tool (i think? im not that familiar with photoshop) to make the fur look kinda shaggy where it switches color. that makes it seem more like fur and not just a color on the surface of his body. I would work with shadows more, which will give it more of a 3d quality. generally, darker areas seem to be deeper into the page than light areas. When a person is about to cry, their eyes get much glossier from added water on the eye's surface. I don't know if you've ever watched anime, but when an anime character's eyes get super shiny right before sobbing, it is exaggerating what really happens. Also with regard to eyes, the lens in an eye does funny things to light when it passes through it. as a result you will get a shine on the eyes surface, and also the portion of the pupil opposite the shine will be lighter than the rest of the pupil. I would look at some pictures of eye close ups, and maybe copy it to learn how to do it yourself. the reflection on the nose is good, but usually reflection like that will follow the contour of the object, in this case his nose. Just curving the line on top on the nose (the diagonal one) would be a big improvement and would make the nose have a more realistic shape Otherwise really good. If you draw more like this you will get better.

just some context: i am a senior in high school, about to graduate (last day is 7 days away wooo), and then in the fall I am off to art school. Most of the corrections that i suggested above are things that I struggle with myself. I find that when you know that you have a problem, it is usually one of the first things that you notice when looking at others.
