Hell, maybe they are jealous of how well you have incorporated the shading to the drawing, or the fact that they are so jealous that they don't have the talent to draw excellent non-anthro drawings themselves, so they criticise anothers work who they deem can't draw when they actually CAN.

I think if you were to tell them it was a killer whale, you wouldn't get any of the trash talk.
im not the best at telling the diff between them, if you can tell me what i have to change in order for it to be correct, it would be greatly appreciated
It seems Jade Indigo has put some light on the situation, as seen in the comment below.
Still, the impression you gave of what animal you had pictured in your mind is well done, regardless of the name given to it.
Here is a quote from Wikipedia
"The killer whale (Orcinus orca), commonly referred to as the orca and, less commonly, blackfish, is the largest species of the DOLPHIN family."

So it is a dolphin, no matter what they say.

And while yes, Orcas are Dolphins, regular people know them as "Orcas, Killer Wales"
You're saying this in the technical term, not all the fish in the Ocean are the same.
