If you know the story of the original Faust, he sold his soul for that which he could not have. The results were less than satisfactory. Much the same in this case, Faust sold his body to science as payment to gain eternal life. In death he was resurrected through extensive surgeries and replacement of vital organs. The price for his resurrection was to enter into servitude for the scientists and company responsible for bringing him back, this led to him being trained as an expendable marksman, receiving low expense upgrades whenever he lost organic portions of his body including his eyes, jaw, right arm, left ear and left leg.
