His parents couldn't feed him and they would have ended loosing their place, so this boy by now would have been in the streets. My efforts have given him a place to live at, and food won't be a concern anymore. In many ways his life has turned out better than it was. - The auctioneer sighed and thought despite appearances, he has helped the young one, although he won't get ever credited for that.
