Nice sketches. Aren't you from England? I find myself a little surprised that you would be drawing something that looks patriotic in a very American sort of way. It's sort-of like when I think about Japanese-American relations. In both cases our countries have some ugly history that might be worth holding a grudge over, and it's surprising to see who does or doesn't have that grudge. I know that English-American relationships have been pretty chummy for the past century, probably longer, but the game does have a focus on a time period when our nations were not quite so chummy.

If any part of this comment ends up sounding rude or insensitive than I must apologize, because there must have been a translation error between my thoughts and my keyboard. And I have a bad headache. >.<

Teehee it's fine, yush I am English and I have no problem with our history. I was not born then and I cannot be biased at all because it never really impacted me and it was nice to draw something American, never done it before and I thought it would be a nice example of a portrayal of american patriotism ^^
Plus good or bad, history is history and it should never be forgotten because there is many lessons to learn from our past and also I shall be moving to the US in a few years anyway :P

Well, I suppose that makes sense. If I think about it, I have no grudges against the English, Japanese, or Germans, and it's likely that they would have similar feelings on the matter. History is indeed history, though I could hardly blame the Japanese if they did hold a little bit of a grudge. Leveling two different cities with nuclear weapons sounds pretty grudge-worthy to me, and it was less than 70 years ago.

Yea I can totally get it but there's not much you can do about the past at the end of the day.
I'm studying animation and I want to work within the film industry, most of my clients and stuff are int he US as is my boyfriend too so yep, and it would be nice to see the world anyway, even if I ony end up moving there for a few years.

I knew about your art/animation studies, I just didn't put two and two together. Guess I just take America's enormous entertainment industry for granted. It certainly sounds like it will be an interesting experience, though I imagine you'll have a fair amount of accent-weirdness going on. And by that I mean that all of us Americans will have funny-sounding accents and we'll all think your accent is awesome. X3 Or maybe you're used to American accents from TV/movies? (yay, I did basic math!)

Haha yep, I'm alright with American accents. Some are funny, I like to mimic certain thing and it drives my bf nuts when I do it to him hahaha but yea, I cant wait to get into the industry, it would be awesome to help make a film or a game cinematic and be like.. *nudge* I did that lol

Yeah, I know what you mean there. That's actually the main reason why I switched from being an engineering major to digital media. Well, not so much for bragging rights as a personal "dude, I made that? Awesome!" To be fair, I was already unsatisfied with the engineering program, then I discovered the awesomeness of creating artwork. From there I knew that I had to at least try the artsy stuff, even if I'm not sure it will work out. Plus, working on videogames seems to be about as close to fun as a paying job can get.

Working on games seems pretty cool, especially if your an the artsy side of things like animation or character design ^^
