Jack Bruno x Alexis: School Day
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Okay now we get to the first day of school for these two. The shot came from a camera angle that Crowchild showed while working on the Unity version. I've got to say I like how this turned out and the two kids of course.

Love on Island
School Days
A week had passes since that swim with Reno and Alexis for Jack. The little folfsky and sea otter somehow kept running into each other. Every time she would get a big smile on her face at the sight of him. He on the other hand would just say hello in a neutral tone. However the male had the school year to look forward to and starting what was considered second grade. The morning of found his parents waking up first to their alarm. "Mmmm…." Rio sighed happily while her arms went around Nicholas's strong neck after her husband turned it off
"Morning gorgeous," he said, nibbling her right ear in a loving way.
"Morning handsome," she cooed and kissed his cheek.
"As much as I love being in bed with you, we need to get our kids up."
They were soon up and dressed before the little ones were roused from their beds. The mother folf was quickly in the kitchen making breakfast for her family. The father fosky was getting their children in their seats. "Ready for the first day of school?" he asked Jack.
"Yes dad," the eldest son replied.
"Well make it a good year like last time. At least you'll have your friends with you even if they're not in the same class as you."
"Breakfast is ready!" came Rio's sweet voice. She didn't mind making breakfast since Nicholas helped her out in whatever way he could and did that part during the weekend along with other things since the odd jobs kept him busy five days a week.
Soon everyone had eaten and then it was onto the kids who would be going to dressing and packing stuff up. Luna was also coming since she was starting what could be considered Kindergarden. "So, got everything?" Rio asked Jack when he came to the front door with a smile.
"Yes mom," he replied. The mother folf smiled down at him and kneeled down to get to his face. All of her children was something that warmed Rio's heart.
"That's my little champ. Have a good day." The folf gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Aw mom!" he exclaimed.
Nicholas then came up wearing the special shoes this time, Luna's small right paw in his left. His wife gave her a goodbye before kissing her husband as he led the two out. Rio watched them go from the living room with a smile, the youngest in her arms, the third oldest by her side. The group of three made it down to one of the beach fronts on the island. They made it ten minutes early. After Luna was dropped off at her area, Nicholas took Jack to his. They met up with the one who would be in charge of him; Denise, one of the Nariatt poison dart frogs. She had blue skin with black spots and green eyes. Like everyone else before having kids, she had gotten older and still looked good. "I'll see you around four, okay?" the fosky asked after the introductions were finished.
"Okay dad." The two had a quick hug and the long haired male watched his son head towards the instructor with a smile. He then went on his way to the Tower.
Jack found the son of Bill and Shelly along with Larry and Bella's eldest son already here in the small group the amphibian would be teaching. The first kid took after his rough collie mother but the second was more like his father. Their names were Daniel and Drake. "There he is!" the canine mix stated.
The little folfsky went over to them. "Hey," he said.
"I can't wait for this!" the bear mix male commented with a big grin.
Jack looked and saw some others he recognized. Just then a familiar voice called his name. "Jack?"
"Oh no…" the folfsky groaned and turned to see none other than Alexis running up to him. Her long black hair, tied back as usual flowed. She was wearing the usual flower behind the ear. Her clothes this time was a cute sky blue tank top with shorts.
The little sea otter came up with a smile, her backpack in her left paw instead of on the back like Jack. "So you are in my same class!" she stated, almost jumping for joy, and a wave of her right paw.
"What do you want?" the canine hybrid asked with a frown.
"Oh come on, I'm just saying hi!" she insisted with a frown of her own. "It's not like I'm going to push you into the water."
"Who is this?" Drake asked with an idiotic grin which Daniel matching him.
"This is my friend," Jack said, speaking it slowly so they'd understand. "This is Alexis."
"So is she the one you've been hanging out with as of late in love?" Daniel asked in a teasing tone.
Alexis let out an exasperated huff while the folfsky glared at the bear. "Shut up you idiot," he growled.
"And if I have?" she asked in a tone to match this situation.
"Oh she's got an attitude!" Daniel replied.
The sea otter glared at him and turned back to Jack. "Just ignore them," the little female said. "We know what really happened."
"I guess," he replied. Just then Denise called them to the rest of their group as it was time for school to begin.
The first part began with introductions. That went well and then it came time for the lessons. First up was the usual stuff like learning how to read, basic math, writing, and things like that. One of the more different lessons was the history, geology, and things that could be found on the island. A bit of this Jack already knew from Nicholas when he had taken him out for crafting and excelled at. Alexis just looked to him with a glowing look of pride every time the male got something right. Of course she wasn't so bad herself, especially when it came to the aquatic parts thanks to her parents Leilani and Reno.
After a few hours of this, it was about noon and time for lunch. Luna was picked up by Nicholas as being in Kindergarden, which meant only a half day for her. But Jack took his lunch from his backpack and joined Daniel and Drake on a log, just watching the waves. Alexis suddenly came up, looking a little nervous. "Alexis," Jack said, noticing her.
"I'm sorry…" she replied, glancing at the sand. "It's just… I don't know anyone yet and I only know you guys. Can I sit here?" The sea otter then looked up, giving a little cute otter like pout.
"Oh okay," the folfsky answered, and she got happy at that, sitting next to him.
"So uh… Alexis right?" Drake commented, trying to make up for his behavior from earlier. "How did you met Jack?"
"Well I guess I can say that," she replied. "I met him at one of the beaches here and then again with helping him to swim."
"You left out the part of making me trip over my tail a couple of times," he stated with a slight glare.
Alexis let out a giggle. "Come on!" she insisted. "All I did was approach! It was on you!"
The folfsky rolled his eyes, but didn't reply. "So… you must be good at swimming then if you could help him," Daniel said.
"Well not like my daddy and momma but yes."
"You're lucky, I can't even go a minute without needing help."
Their talk then went onto other things they liked at this age and Jack actually began to warm up to Alexis a bit more than before. While yes, still giggly, and a bit wild, the female sea otter really was a kind, sweet girl. Maybe this female wasn't as bad as he had first thought. Then after lunch came the next set of classes. Then came the last class which was a combination of Gym and swimming. Since this was an island, it was important the kids learned how to swim. Jack, Alexis, and the rest of their class after changing into their suits met at the water's edge where Savannah was. The tiger shark, even though she had been a lifeguard back in the day had retired from that. She had her own family after all but decided to take this position of teaching swimming since the shark still had a love of it.
"Okay, is everyone here?" she asked, her purple swimsuit similar to the one she wore as a lifeguard. The small children nodded up at her, not sure what to make of her. Only the second graders so far had her since this was a first. There weren't any kids older them then yet. Only their younger siblings would follow for now. "Good. My name is Savannah. I want you to know I'll make sure nothing happens to you. You're in good care despite if you may think I'm scary. I'm not at all."
She then saw Alexis and smiled, her sharp shark teeth flashing in the sun. "Oh there's one I recognize. This will be fun." The little sea otter had met the tiger shark before and liked her.
"Okay then. By a show of hands, paws, and wings, how many can swim or has taken lessons before this?" Jack's paw went up as did Alexis's. To his surprise, there were quite a few others as well. "Then today, we're just going to get wet and see where everyone is at. So come on!"
The tiger shark went in waist deep. Alexis was right behind her and Jack as well. He had his goggles on, ready to show this teacher what he could do. Savannah watched these two first, pleased by their performance. The other kids went as well. "Okay, now I know what I have to work with," the adult stated. "That's all for today! Get dried off and ready to head home! You all did great!"
Alexis and Jack were soon back in their regular clothes and waiting for their parents. They then spotted Nicholas coming up with a smile. The two went over to him. "Hey you two!" the fosky said, giving his son a quick hug. "How was it today?"
"I'm in the same class as him!" the little sea otter stated with a smile.
"Really? Good for you."
He looked to the younger male who blushed slightly and began to play with his fingers. "Yeah… she was a lot of fun to be with today."
Alexis giggled but before she could say anything else, another female voice was heard. "Well you'll have to tell me about it."
"Momma!" the sea otter went and ran up to her mother. The older sea otter smiled with pride and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"How's my little wild pearl doing?" the older sea otter asked.
"I had fun today in school!"
"Good for you." The otter mother then looked up to Nicholas.
"Yes, I think Jack did to," the father stated.
"Well we need to get going home. We've got another school day tomorrow."
"Yes. Say goodbye to them okay?"
Jack waved goodbye as did Alexis to the other and both families left for their homes. The spouses were keen to hear how their child's day went and very happy to hear that it went good. But it was only the first day out of a long amount of them so there was quite a ways to go yet.
