A story of a different kind accompanies this piece! A more personal story.

Tyco was my first ever fursona many years ago. I dreamed of a big, strong blue husky protecting me during a dream. I didn't know who this husky was and I didn't know what he was protecting me from in this dream -- you know the way dreams get pretty vague. But I woke up and knew that this was my fursona.

And he was for a long time! That's why my profile is TyHusky and not SnowHusky or SnowFang or something like that. As time went on, I wanted a fursona who was more like me instead of just a protector. So Tyco was shelved for a bit. He made appearances in different stories I wrote and he always made appearances in different collaborative writing projects with friends. But I didn't identify with him as strongly as I once did.

Flash forward a few years and I began to play around with Tyco a bit more as a main character for things. I developed his personality more and more and discovered that it was a different side of me. A stronger side but still fundamentally me. So I decided to bring him back as a secondary fursona. Both Snow and Tyco are me -- two sides of the same coin.

So when the opportunity came along to have him drawn, I jumped at it.
