Orphans Midnight and Snowflake don't have the benefit of having warmth, shelter and often food. They must survive the streets of Sirmiq, even as snow threatens the air and the river is already freezing over. Often their clothes get muddy and dirty so Midnight suggested that they wash their clothes before the river completely freezes over for the winter.

Snowflake obliged and allowed for Midnight to wash their clothes in the river, but Snowflake quickly grew bored. Not often does the arctic fox Snowflake like to bathe in frozen waters but with his new friend, he wanted to have fun with Midnight by taking a bath. Midnight's fur is accustomed to survive the cold but not as well as Snowflakes so he declined Snowy's offer to take a bath and continued washing their clothes. Snowy was persistent though and started to insist by pushing Midnight toward the cold waters.

Snowy might be a bit naive and Midnight won't be happy falling in the river but these two depend on each other to survive Midnight will forgive Snowy, especially since he's so young.



The idea with this drawing when it was started was that I'd attempt a background on my own afterwards so when Husky finished the drawing, I took it and added my own background using Photoshop Essentials. I had a lot of fun coming up with the background and learned a few new tools. I'm pleased with the production of the background :).
