Another storm rolls in over the cities of Huailina; the rage of the panthalassic sea broken only by the breakwaters far out where sea engineers of various forms ensure that the long storms break their fury kilometers off of the coast. With even Schmorgaswaffle closed due to the dangers, there's not much to do but watch the ever-present fury break across the city. Some would consider Shir Scrabble's rather choice positioning of apartment a blessing, it's a bit of a cursed one. Shi was mostly only able to afford it due to it being so pathetically small and ill placed. Built into the local 'Vator, the vibrations of the cargo lifts regularly vibrate hir home and most would avoid it for fear of being... 'touched' by continual exposure to the warping of space and time from the Transporter infrastructure at the heart of the structure. In many ways, the habitable spaces of the great spire aren't really designed for taurics like hir, and the rather lacking enforcement of accessibility standards leave hir isolated and alone in so achingly many ways in a sea of souls so unlike hir.

On the other hand, the rent is absurdly cheap-cheap enough that even shi can afford it with hir wages, and surprisingly close to the heart of the city, and the Great Cresent as a whole. It'd all be so much better if shi could get some more supplemental income to get secure and free of hir constant monetary worries. Kassandra... tries to help, but her own success leaves her isolated from truly understanding hir own plight. Still, the various gigs shi gets with hir friend help-even if the dragoness is more than a little flighty and problematic. Shi's still so... so... SOFT from whatever Kass did to hir in that massage, and it's eaten into hir work hours.

On the other forepaw(b)... the view is good, looking out into the crashing waves from just below the cloud deck. The aching whine of the wind may rattle hir window, but it was built for far greater stresses and will hold. The quiet despair of the long night ahead is an inspiring mood, and the chai is quite good. Things will hold, for at least another day. Perhaps tomorrow will be better.

Shi still needs to get the mess out of hir futon from the other day... >//<
