I haven't done traditional painting in a long time, but I really wanted to give it a go on some wood slices I've had sitting around for a while. I was really inspired by artists like kenket and bastek and wanted to paint something that had the same kind of character they put into their work, but make it my own. Traditional painting is usually boring and frustrating to me, but I'm very pleased with how this turned out, and I'll be making a few more pieces to add to the art show at BLFC. This piece looks really cool in person too, there's some shimmer in the crow's feathers that a camera can't quite capture.
