A project from my ceramics class, working with earthenware clay using the coil pot method, finished and painted with red iron oxide (love the stuff) and inner lined clear glaze. It's not too often I have the opportunity to sculpt anything, so I'm expecting to do more of them.

Originally the design was based off some Anglo-Saxon pottery that I had observed. I made some adjustments and included some other designs, as well as a wolf head spout (liquid can even pour out the mouth). It does remind me a lot like an artifact.
