Hmm... have you ever drawn a relationship that is awkward/imperfect/one-sided/ect? I think I've only seen you draw ideal relationships. Have you ever wanted to depict the other types of love, like forbidden lovers, or an overly/underly horny boyfriend, or a surprise introduction into homosexuality for someone who has been afraid of it?
Actually, I like that last idea. Note to self: Rewrite green eggs and ham, change green eggs to balls, ham to dicks.
In all honesty, so far I've been drawing the things I like to fantasize about, and dysfunctional relationships haven't exactly been a part of that XD I might do it though as an artistic challenge at one point. And I had to look that Dr Seuss book up, as I wasn't familiar with that. Now that sounds funny, almost cute, when interpreted in your way. Kinda like two friends, where one has a crush on the other, but the other one believes he is straight? Sounds like an idea for a comic ;-)
I guess my point was that not all "dysfunctional" relationships need to be boring or sad, but I think you got that :)
