Fane Star's Semi-Realistic Ref Sheet
Hello everfur! Please meet the new Fane Star! Not a whole lot has realistically changed, just a few colors got changed, a new back marking, I finally got his teeth drawn, and his bow and quiver have an official design. His teeth are based off of the Camarasaurus. I feel like they were close to what I envisioned as Fane's hybrid teeth. His back marking is a twist on the caduceus symbol inspired by the tree of life, the seven main chakras, the five elements, and the transgender flag. It's a very spiritual and meaningful back marking. Most of Fane's colors and all of his markings have meaning as well. His dark blue and his belly marking are from Lector, my border collie who passed a few years ago. The blue is from the color of his favorite toy and collar. The belly marking is a birthmark I have on my ankle and Lector had it on his forehead. Fane's light blue and pink are from the transgender flag. I am transgender (FTM) and wanted a bit of pride on him. All of Fane's purple is from Mitsy, my cat who also passed a few years ago. She liked the color purple and would only lay on blankets that were a similar color. The lavender purple is a reminder of where she was buried, under a lavender bush. Black is my personal favorite color and the back marking's color has already been somewhat explained. The other colors are from Fane being half red fox.
