ilbv just can’t seem to find anyone who would want to go with him to the dance, he isn’t very well liked among his fellow humans.

ilbv still goes inside and sits alone at a small table for two, a pretty girl comes up to him, but she only asks if the other chair is being used by anyone. When ilbv says she can take it, the girl pulls it over to her table and joins her girlfriends.
ilbv stares into the bottom of his glass, watching his ice melt and wondering what makes him so undesirable. He dances alone, not well, but he makes his own good time, he manages to get in some group photos and the meal was really good. All in all, he made his own good time of the night, it just could have been better if he had someone to walk home after. Instead he said goodbye to some people he knew (not very well) and walked home quietly and alone, the pounding music following him until it died away.
