"I look around me and cannot help but feel a bit... for lack of a better word, old. In my area of work, it's no surprise when younger minds begin their adroit mission to enhance, innovate and remodel the medical field. We, the doctors that once strut our fur, feathers, scales and skin proudly and sanguinely around this hospital no more than twenty years ago, now suddenly find ourselves lost and alone in the shadows of much younger, brighter and more audacious surgical residents. For the patients- the ones who matter most to all of us- this is a fine thing; new eyes lead to new discoveries, new ideas create vicissitude, and new paws perform miraculous feats. But for the veteran surgeons- the doctors that act as the heart and soul of this hospital and have done so for decades- the inexorable claws of father time slashing away our opportunities for personal and professional advancement become more apparent with each passing year. Where I once was the leading pediatric surgeon in this region, I am now reduced to meager research roles and lecture speeches. What do I do now? Where do I go from here? And of course, the increasingly plaguing question to my mind; with whom do I spend the rest of my time with? I suppose I don't need an immediate answer. But it would certainly make my gruelingly tedious work easier to bear knowing someone, somewhere, had me on their mind."

Alright! So this is the second portrait of a series of four. The first in the series was Cassie Valentine.. this is Doctor Nathaniel Nicholas Nightingale. He's a pediatrician and pediatric doctor; however, now that he's in his fifties he's being majorly overshadowed by the younger doctors he works with, which is making him reevaluate his personal and professional lives.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm literally obsessed with the show Grey's Anatomy. This is kind of my opportunity to play as, and characterize, a doctor. And it's been fun, I've used him in several roleplays already and am eager to do some more.
