The Deadly Sin
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
"Anytime your damned little droid there wants to finish up stealing the layout of the ship around us as well as figure out where the pups are being held by Sin, that would be a most welcome time, Nyrina!" Isaac patiently shouted over all of the noise; including but not limited to his green lightsaber whirring with each of his swings, the sizzle of separatist droids being sliced and diced by his said lightsaber, the blasts of the oncoming droids' blasters! The otter boy - after having thrown his lightsaber cleanly through a droideka just deploying - made a splendid ten foot leap over a super battle droid, sliced the foe through its waist from behind, force pushed one portion into several approaching standard droids and then slammed the remaining half down onto a super! Once done, Isaac looked back to his cousin - Nyrina - as he stated firmly, "Seriously though, I know we were handpicked by the rest of our kind back on Felldew for this mission and maybe the gods blessed us with these shineswords... but we're not immortal! I can't keep this up forever. Can't your droid work any faster?"
"Doing our best over here, cousin. We're all having trouble, mind you. Give my little droid a break!" Nyrina replied as patiently as she could to Isaac's - her cousin's - words. She deflected a round of blaster fire from a trio of standard battle droids, all of whom were muttering along with exclaiming in uncertainty that it wasn't a "good idea" to be fighting her in the first place. After she'd slashed if not sliced them into submission, they'd just begun to fall apart in front of Nyrina when a droideka rolled around the corner into view! Instantly, feeling the force and following her instincts, the she-otter force grabbed the pieces of her fallen enemies. Then, like a shotgun of terrible proportion, she threw the many pieces of droids around her into the destroyer, tearing it into shreds before it could properly deploy. "And we have to keep this up, Isaac. Forever if needed. The children need us and they won't be helped if we get captured."
"That is if we don't go and get shot or anything first! Isn't there an end to these things? Don't they get the hint of not to come this way at least for a moment?" Isaac wondered bitterly, spinning his lightsaber in a circle before him at a incredible speed. With his saber making a green circle shield of light before him, he reflected all blaster fire from several super battle droids back into them until they fell to make way for a group of standards. As the said standard battle droids began to chatter about "opening fire" accompanied by many "roger rogers", they didn't get but do anything but fall apart really. Isaac had jumped into their midst, slashed them badly, then force smashed them before anything could happen. "Just a moment to breathe. That's all I need, by the gods! Just a moment to understand that this place might very well be the end of me!"
"Don't talk like that, Isaac. Just keep it together and the force will help us see another day! Or so those jedi believe." Nyrina remarked, catching her returning lightsaber cleanly as it returned from an impaled super droid she'd thrown it at. "Still, you have a point. Considering this is Sin's ship, I suppose we should've guessed there'd be this many combat droids even on the maintenance level. Not just the main ones."
Nyrina, armed with her own green lightsaber and having gone through just as much as her struggling cousin fending off relentless battle droids down the hallway nearby, did her own best to remain calm under the building pressure around her. The pressure being that she as well as her cousin were in the bowels of an enemy's capital ship avoiding capture by thousands of separatist droids as they were attempting to rescue several innocent, young Felldewan pups from the clutches of "Darth Sin"; a fennec fox of sorts who was the proclaimed enemy of all of Felldew. Even against Norlinth whose hardened ships were currently battling a tremendous space battle against Sin's droids, buying the invading jedi otters much needed time. Regardless, even with their allies helping them in every way possible, even with their force powers, Nyrina knew Isaac was right. Maybe the gods favored them but they were still mortals. They were still otters. They could die. They could be captured. They couldn't keep standing around here.
Really, where it'd been a near impossible thing beforehand, the plan up to this point had been a terrible thing. Almost suicide. Yet, the otter siblings/jedi had made it this far, hand't they? If they could keep their heads, if they could hold off these droids bearing down on them a little longer, then there was still hope. And as long as there was hope, there was a chance. Something any true Felldewan of today needed to believe in like their ancestors from long ago. Still, with all of the blaster fire and the flashes of light from her and her cousin's sabers, Nyrina knew hope wasn't going to last long. If it was to survive this, if they were to, then "Dewwy" - the little otter looking astro-droid that was Nyrina's personal assistant/friend, currently linked to the hallway's/ship's maintenance panel - had to hurry in gaining the knowledge that was needed.
That needed knowledge was the location of the force sensitive little ones Darth Sin had kidnapped from Felldew. For any other robot or mech, the task of cutting through the defenses as well as data of an enemy ship to decode such vital enemy information would have taken forever. It would have been impossible. Especially with a fight going on around it. However, as Nyrina had come to know about him since she'd gained him as an ally during this war, little Dewwy was a doer of the impossible. And as she along with Isaac kept on fending off droids to buy as much time as possible, Nyrina observed Dewwy click, beep, boop with retrieved data. Still, the she-otter needed to let her personal droid know that things were getting a little "crazy" for liking.
"Dewwy? How are you doing there?" The she-otter wondered of her personal, otter looking droid as politely as she could. She glanced at her little droid as it clicked at her, showing a digital smiley face as if nothing was wrong and all was going as planned while there was a battle raging everywhere. At least someone was keeping his head during the trouble. "I take it that smile of yours means everything is going okay?"
Suddenly, with a chirp, nodding his head in place with a smack of his mechanical tail on the floor, the happy Dewwy stepped back from the ship panel. For a second, seeing her otter droid was unplugged, Nyrina didn't know what to make of the situation. Her questions were answered though when, with a quick "swish", the wall nearby opened. It hadn't been a wall at all, actually. As revealed by Dewwy scuttling inside to begin working on another panel within, it was a secret/hidden elevator! Where it lead to, that was a riddle. However, if Dewwy had just opened it and was working on getting it working, Nyrina knew that it was going to be worth her while. That and her cousin's who was more than happy to leave battle when she alerted him to what was going on!
After having force slammed a super battle droid into an approaching group of standards, Isaac just managed to jump his way into the hidden elevator as the door - controlled by Dewwy, no doubt - closed behind him. "See? Just keep on fighting, hoping, believing, my cousin, and everything will work out. The force will guide us, as the gods will favor us." Nyrina explained to recovering Isaac, knowing that Dewwy was moving the elevator upwards for them by accessing the nearby panel with many clicks of uplinks and button mashing. "Now, Dewwy, my friend... Where is this thing taking us? Where are you taking us?"
The otter droid looked up to his inquiring master as it replied with "boops", a digital smiley face showing on his expression again. Isaac, not sure how to speak or understand mechanoid, looked to his inspired cousin and wondered aloud, "Well, if I didn't know better, the droid seems to know more than we do about everything going on. What did Dewwy have to say, Nyrina? Where is he taking us?"
Nyrina, winking with confidence and gripping her saber tighter, said what the both of them needed to hear, "He's taking us to see Sin. We're back on track."
Isaac, rubbing the back of his neck along with grimacing, narrowed his eyes. He crossed his arms next, grumbling as he did, "I suppose I should have guessed that from the beginning. I've had a shiver down my spine since we began going up... A sign we're getting closer to the dark side. And that blasted fennec fox."

If you would all applaud Holtzmann for his wonderful if not inspiring work on the character design of Darth Sin here, the Fennec Fox, I would very much appreciate that! This is an awesome revisit to the dark jedi of my Felldew, starring in the Star Wars universe and I'm more than happy with this addition to the gallery. Holtzmann himself can be found being awesome on FurAffinity: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/holtzmann/

*Darth Sin sends force lightning after you*
*Gives Holtzmann a loud round of applause*
Thank you for giving Holtz the applause. He really needs more support for this kind of work.
I'd be tempting fate way to much heh, but I'd be great for that fast getaway ^_~
