Throwback Ad Campaign
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Looking frustrated the weasel at the head of the conference table uttered an ultimatum, “Guys we have been at this for hours, we need a pitch for the Coppertone account this afternoon. We are not leaving this room without one”.
The gathered furs groaned, but one of the foxes suddenly spoke up. “OK how about this idea. Movie and TV studios have been rehashing stuff from old successes lately, so why can’t we do the same? Let’s bring back the Coppertone girl and puppy.
A murmur went through the room, some looking exited and some shaking their heads in disapproval.
“Damn it Jack its not the 60’s anymore. A cub getting their diaper pulled down will be called problematic, hell an anthro and a feral together will be called problematic. The censors will never allow it, and even if they did the bad publicity would lose us the account”, replied a skunk. The other dissenters of the idea nodded in agreement.
But a cheetah smiled, “What if it wasn’t a cub … or even a feral involved”. The others looked toward him with peaked interest, and he continued. “We recently signed a rather cute bear and wolf to a contract for the Pawpers account. They’re coming in next week to shoot a commercial for the new Soggy Swimmers line of adult swim diapers. We just recreate the famous pose during that shoot and we are good to go”.
There were excited murmurs, but a badger broke the positive vibe. “How do you know they will agree to it? Look how famous that ad made that little girl. Many wouldn’t want that”.
The cheetah smiled slyly, “The contract was very open ended. They don’t have much choice unless they want to pay the penalty for breaking it”. Everyone in the room knew those penalties were very expensive to prevent no shows. He thought about how shy the pair had been when they found out the ad was for diapers. Won’t this be an embarrassing surprise, the bear wouldn’t need make up to make their face red.
The weasel leaned forward, looking very pleased. “Yes … half the production costs and double the profit. Make it happen you two and I see a nice bonus in your future”.
