Yeah, I actually saw one before Halloween and decided I had to have a go.

Well then, I just added one back into the bunch. :)

She more than likely will. I have a story idea for her, but I might re-vamp (pun intended) her wings so she can either shape-shift them of just have a separate set of wings on her back and let her arms and hands be normal.

She'll likely turn into a regular for me around Halloween.

Well if she has hands and her wings are attached past her wrist then it might help her.

Looking forward to that. Just me, I like the shape shifting idea. It emphasizes her being supernatural.

Either having "wing hands" or the ability to shapeshift would be better, IMO. I know many people like the idea of having wings [i]and[/i] arms on a character, but the biomechanics behind that make it impossible. A flyer's wing muscles need to be large (the pectorals, etc.) and need a firm anchor to attach to (the sternum). A bird or bat has a keel-shaped breastbone (just check out a whole fryer chicken's sometime during dinner) where the muscles attach to flap the wings. Now, if you have a pair of arms in front of the wings, they will interfer with wing movement. About the only way to really do it, biologically, would be to have two seperate pairs of arms stacked one on top of the other, with the wings being the lower pair (sort of like the wings of a dragonfly).

The above having been said, I know that I drew one of my characters as a bat with arms [i]and[/i] wings, but then again, that was the android avatar of a ship's A.I. with a built-in null gravity generator, and different mechanicals (you can do more interesting things via mechanical/electrical engineering...as long as the physics allow, of course). Generally, I draw my bat characters as having just one or the other, either arms (like Sylvia and her sister Celeste in my "[i]Daggers of Darkness[/i]" series) [i]or[/i] wings (like Kylie, Cynthia, and Pamella in my "[i]Family Tails[/i]" story).

Oh, btw, my character CWO3 Sylvia Stewert [i]did[/i] say that she has some vampire bat in her from her grandmother's side of the family (hence the shape of her fangs)...might be the reason why she tends to like her meat on the raw side, and has a fondness for blood pudding. ;)

ANYWAY...your character looks like she could be rather interesting once you get her refined. :)
