“Weapons check” I shouted as I entered the armory and made sure all the men were properly equipped.
“Were locked, loaded, and ready to go sir.” A man in his early twenties told me and pumped his 12-gauge.
“Good to hear Troy” I said as I passed him and went to stand in the middle of the crowd.
“Listen up people” Everyone stopped their actions and turned their attention towards me. I cleared my throat and began to speak.
“Today will be the day that we usher in a new era, where humans across the world will finally taste freedom. For too long we have suffered in silence while the beast kin have made us bear the chains of slavery, well I say no more. You, the men and women with me now, have proven that we can stand up to our oppressors. Your courage and determination was the reason we were able to escape our imprisonment. The beasts believe that we are weak and unfit to be free; it’s time to show them just how weak we are. We will exterminate their armies, destroy their cities, and make them recognize our strength.”
“But what if we aren’t strong enough?” someone asked me.
“…Then we will fight till the very end, for we will never surrender.” I replied as I looked down at the masked man.
“Now are you with me?” they all yelled and cheered in response.
“That’s what I wanted to hear…now grab your gear and load up, were moving out”
“Yes sir” they said in unison and followed me out the door.

We arrived at the slave shop in less than an hour and I had the men split into 4 teams and surround the building as we waited for nightfall. The groups consisted of 25 soldiers that were covered by 4 snipers on the ridge across from me.
“This is Delta, give me a roll call” I said into my radio as I checked over the AK-47 in my hands, sliding a finger on the blade attached to the barrel.
“Alpha team in position”
“Bravo team in position”
“Echo team is ready”
“Snipers at the ready”
“All teams accounted for” I radioed back and looked to the sky. The sun had finally sunk below the horizon and a crescent moon had risen to take its place.
“Delta squad to all teams, Operation First Blood is a go, let’s move people.” I ordered and watched as dozens of dark silhouettes emerged from the trees and charged down the hill with cries of anger and bloodlust.

The night was uneventful for the guards patrolling the grounds. They were either walking around looking for the occasional escapee or sitting around and making small talk to pass the time.
“Man I hate the graveyard shift” a female wolf yawned out while leaning on the small table that stood next to her. She removed a lock of platinum blonde from her sapphire colored eyes and turned to look at a slim fox that sat on the opposite side of the table.
“How much longer do we have to keep up this façade?” She asked tiredly.
“Be patient Maria, there are only us and two others; we can make our move when the others get here tomorrow.” The fox told her friend in a calm feminine voice.
“I'm being patient Autumn, but it’s been three weeks and the boredom is starting to get to me.” The vixen let out a sigh and shook her head.
She was about to reply but froze and raised her ears.
“What’s wrong” Maria asked.
“Listen.”
The wolf did as ordered and copied Autumns actions, raising her ears and listening for anything, her ears twitched when she heard a strange noise.
“Is that…shouting?” Autumn asked before they turned to see many dark figures descending from the tree line, straight towards them.
“We should go…like now.” Maria said as she rose from her seat and started running, dragging the fox behind her.

“Remember what you’re fighting for” I shouted out as we ran down the hill and towards our target. The guards in the watchtowers began firing on us, forcing us to take cover. I heard someone yell in pain and I looked back to see one of my men fall to the ground with a bullet in his leg.
I left the safety of the wood stack and sprinted over to the fallen soldier as bullets flew past me, some missing me by inches. I grabbed the injured human and hoisted him over my shoulder.
“Where’s our covering fire?” I questioned the snipers through my radio. I was answered by the sounds of sniper fire ringing out from behind me. I ran back to cover and lowered the man behind the wooden wagon with the 2 others.
“Keep him safe and move him back to where the snipers are when it’s clear” I ordered before stepping out into the open and running through the hail of lead with a rage filled cry. I charged towards a guard as he was reloading and drove the bayonet into his heart. I pulled it out and grabbed him, taking him as a shield. I released a stream of bullets from my weapon that decimated the guards by the main entrance. I threw the bullet filled corpse to the side and tackled the door open.

“What is happening out there?” Autumn asked as the sound of gunfire echoed through the halls she and Maria where running through.
“I don’t know, but it sounds like the people attacking made it inside.” The wolf said to her friend as shouts of anger and pain accompanied the roar of the weapons fire.
“We need to get Wesley and Charles and get out of here.” They agreed and went to go find their friends.

“Building secured send in the rest of the men to control the outside” I radioed to Araali as the men broke open the slave cages and released their occupants. Taking the building was actually pretty easy. Most of the guards were outside and they surrendered after we destroyed their towers and severely reduced their numbers. I was able to just walk into their control room and find the main computer.
“Nick, see what you can find on that thing” I ordered the brunette standing beside me. He was more tech-savvy than me so I leave the computer stuff to him.
“Yes sir” he replied and started hacking into the console.
“Carter, Slade, keep an eye on him, Jamie and Wayde, with me” The 2 men with me nodded and closed the doors behind us as we left the room.
"Araali, move the captured to the holding cells and bring them to me for interrogation." I said into my radio
"Yes sir" he called back.
'Time to have some fun" I thought while smiling and continued walking down the hall.
