.30-06
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
I'm feeling really good today, so I decided to take a picture of the ammunition I use for my hunting rifle, a bolt action Mossberg 4x4 with a plastic stock.
The .30-06 Springfield is a .30 caliber rifle cartage that was designed for the military and introduced in the year 1906, which is why it has the name .30-06, it is currently no longer used in the military for several reasons, including weight and high recoil.
The .30-06 is considered to have the maximum recoil that your average shooter can safely handle, which is why many people smaller and sometimes less powerful cartridges.
The .30-06 quickly became a popular hunting cartage, as it shot faster and farther and hit harder than a lot of other cartridges at the time, and over the past 112 years, the .30-06 remained a popular, all-around hunting rifle.
The shells in the picture are 180 grain soft points made by Winchester, these are a cheep and fairly accurate option, I personally use it for black bear and moose with great effect. I personally handle the recoil with no problem, however a lot of people I know want nothing to do with the caliber due to it's recoil and experiences of getting hit in the face by the scope.
