CHAPTER 1 - Scraps the Dog aka Scraps Baker's Info for RE7

A few days later after the Bakers had found Eveline and taken her into their home, Evie wasn't fully satisfied as she wanted a dog, which the Bakers didn't have. Shortly after Eveline was taken into the Baker home, she brainwashed them using the mold. This, however, didn't stop them from searching for a stray dog since they lived quite off the grid so chances of finding any dogs around were slim to none. Little did they know that there certainly was a doggy around! So Jack and Marguerite went looking for a dog along the roads and fields. An unnamed stray dog had been roaming around nearby a day after Eveline arrived at the Baker house. The dog wasn't abandoned on purpose by its owners since they had been killed by the monsters and their house destroyed about a week ago. The dog was the sole survivor and managed to escape from the home which led him to become a stray and basically roam around trying to survive. He was quite good at avoiding trouble and creatures since he wasn't that big of a dog, neither that tiny either. He was kinda in between small and medium sized, which seemed to play to his advantage!

It was late and dark out and soon enough, Jack and Marguerite Baker came across the dog! The pup finally thought he had found his new forever owners but boy, was he in for a surprise...The dog ran towards the two people that he saw in the distance but quickly stopped the closer he got since he could smell that something was definitely off about these two strangers, but perhaps even his senses were on extra high alert after everything that had happened up to this point. However, the husband and wife came prepared and quickly showed the dog their makeshift cage and Marguerite's homemade "treats". The dog began growling a bit as the treats smelled absolutely disgusting! They certainly weren't doggy treats! Man, what is up with these people? Before the dog could make any other move, he was snatched by Jack and shoved into the cage since he got distracted by the smelly treats. Jack and Marg returned home to Eveline and showed her the pup and released him from his cage. "Oh! A kid! Maybe this one is a lot more friendly compared to her parents?" Thought the dog as he quickly ran towards her, hoping she was normal. Unfortunately for the dog, he noticed the girl had that same weird smell to her as the parents did. But he thought about giving the girl a chance and stayed put as she gave him plenty of pets and snuggles.

 "And I shall call him SCRAPS!" Exclaimed Eveline. "Scraps? Well, I gotta say that I quite like my new name!" Thought the dog to himself once more. He couldn't speak like humans could, nor move, walk or act like they could since Scraps was just an ordinary dog on all fours. Little did Scraps know that this was all about to change rather quickly...

Shortly after the snuggles and Scraps being given his new name, Evie grabbed on to him tightly which made him yelp a bit since it came unexpectedly. She then looked into his eyes in a weird way which made him growl again and he tried to put up a bit of a struggle but it was useless as Eveline quickly infected Scraps with the mold, rendering him incapable of moving or struggling for a solid minute as the mold took over his body. After the infection, Scraps got up and stood on his two hind legs. He was now capable of speaking and acting exactly as humans could. It seems Eveline's mold basically turned Scraps into an F-Virus subject, but without having been injected with the actual F-Virus! Evie, Marguerite, and Jack were happy and celebrated after this marvelous outcome with Scraps! If Eveline was happy and satisfied, then Jack and Marg were happy and satisfied as well! Lucas was nowhere to be found. Instead, he was up in his room and Zoe had locked herself up in the family camper as usual after Evie had infected her family. Zoe had escaped most of this chaos and still couldn't believe her own parents were out to get her at any given chance if she came into their sights due to her not wanting to accept "Eveline's gift". This forced her to hide in the camper after Evie arrived. At least she's quite safe here since Evie and her parents don't bother her whenever she's in the camper. Zoe vaguely knows of Scraps' existence and vice versa, but out of everyone, Scraps and Zoe don't really seem to mind each other. Scraps can sniff out that she's not really one of them but he can't really go to her or that could expose him to Eveline and the rest that he's in fact nowhere near brainwashed but just has the mold.

Being one of the Bakers wasn't too unpleasant for Scraps since he became able to walk, talk and act like a human could after being infected with the mold and creatures and monsters also infected with or created by the mold leave him alone now too since they can sense he's "one of them". The rest of the Bakers leave Scraps alone too as long as he behaves himself and acts obedient. Most importantly, he'll be okay as long as he obeys and listens to Eveline. This requires him to constantly fake being brainwashed and to play into everything that Evie may want or need! Any failure to do so could immediately raise suspicion upon him and there's no telling what would happen then. Surprisingly, Scraps seems to be very good at this fake act and when Evie doesn't demand any of his time or attention, he can usually be seen roaming around the dark house and outside. Scraps always tries his best to ignore Zoe and her camper to not just keep himself safe and out of suspicion, but her too.

So what's Scraps' personality like? Well, he's much like most dogs! Energetic and playful! In fact, he's always ready to play and cuddle! Preferably with someone who's NOT a Baker! He loves getting treats, pats, cuddles, and belly rubs! Yes, Scraps really is just your typical doggy! Besides the mold basically giving Scraps the same abilities as Umbrella Corporation's F-Virus, he did get a bit of a weird side effect from it which is being able to grow his tail short or long whenever he pleases but he loves his regular short tail so he can usually always be seen with his short tail!

If Ethan Winters were to ever get captured by the Bakers and put into their house, Scraps would team up with him and they'd try to escape together. Afterwards, Ethan would take Scraps home with him and he would've become a member of the Winters family instead and would've also become a fantastic bodyguard and friend for Rose, the daughter of Ethan and Mia Winters!
